Some thoughts on improving the racing-
No restrictions on the amount of fuel you can use.
Refuelling allowed
No mandatory tyre changes
No DRS
Petrol engines 3 litre max any configuration you like.
Full aero, ground effect and skirts
No min/ max weight restrictions
The problem with more than one supplier of tyres is that you can get situations where one tyre is so superior to the other ones that the duff tyres cannot win.Add more than one tyre supplier.
All of it could happen except the petrol engines - sadly that ship has sailed.
After the last few seasons i’d be more than alright seeing Lewis in red like

We don’t want competitive from more than one. We want tyres that perform but can’t go anywhere near race distance.Point taken, but the suppliers are in the game for reputational reasons and should be able to produce something competitive, at least.
i get that fred knows hamilton from his junior days, but he'd need to be phenomenally persuasive to sell the ferrari as a championship opportunity (the way niki did over a decade ago). After the last few seasons i’d be more than alright seeing Lewis in red like
Worse than just that. The problem with more than one supplier of tyres is that you can get situations where one tyre is so superior to the other ones that the duff tyres cannot win.
Worse than just that.
The current tyres are got to a specification from f1. You can't have that if there's competition.
You can't build a tyre that works in a very specific way AND have two companies both doing that and trying to beat eachother at the same time. They're mutually exclusive. Why not?
We even had that farce in America in 2005 at Indianapolis where one of the tyre companies (Michelin) said their tyres were only safe for 10 laps. At that point tyre changes were not allowed in F1.You can't build a tyre that works in a very specific way AND have two companies both doing that and trying to beat eachother at the same time. That's exactly why we have one supplier today. Because f1 controls how the tyres work. Not the providers.
Tyre wars were shit anyway. Just another layer of murky cheating, frankly.
Just some thoughts. Some thoughts on improving the racing-
No restrictions on the amount of fuel you can use. - less fuel adds more strategy, faster at the start more coasting late on, different strategys and risks. Trying to cut emissions wouldnt be good for teams to burn more fuel for a more powerful engine.
Refuelling allowed - cant gave this alongside no fuel restrictions, otherwise all teams would underfuel then have a mad dash into the pits near the end.
No mandatory tyre changes - agree, provided the tryes had a lap limit otherwise teams would insist on the tyres being 'safe' to last race distance. Dont force teams to use multiple compounds
No DRS - dont think that would work at all with the cars these days, would massively limit overtakes

I can’t see the Champ going to Ferrari. He just needs to sell Lewis as the thing that the teams missing and he’ll bring the drive and level that they’ve missed !
Lewis arguably benefitted from Schumachers work at Merc before he took his place but it would do wonders for Lewis legacy if ends things by turning thing round in red n winning his 8th title there
instead of having 5 types of tyres C1-C5 drop the two hardest compounds and make them soft grippy high speed short life tyres. We don’t want competitive from more than one. We want tyres that perform but can’t go anywhere near race distance.
Think theres a chance he’ll get sick of Toto’s rudderless managementI can’t see the Champ going to Ferrari.
Unless Toto calls it a day.
Champ, verstappen? Only winding you up. I would love to see Lewis go there if he's given freedom behind the scenes . Where as I see max as a better driver now, I don't think he has the backstage knowledge and skills that Lewis would bring. Max will get bored and leave in a couple of years , Lewis would be joining Ferrari at a perfect time. Imagine a Russell Mercedes Vs Hamilton Ferrari.I can’t see the Champ going to Ferrari.

Sort of remember that, will look it up, did anything like that happen again with only a few cars starting? Can't picture it just nowWe even had that farce in America in 2005 at Indianapolis where one of the tyre companies (Michelin) said their tyres were only safe for 10 laps. The cars did the formation lap and then pulled into the pits and did not race.
Out of 20 cars, only 6 that used Bridgestone tyres actually raced.
Schumacher won the race.
The fans were not happy.
Max is the better driver now ? He crashed into the pit wall exiting the pits the other week he’s proved nothing the last 2 season apart from being able to win in a dominant carChamp, verstappen? But as it's sounds good, would never happen.

It was a unique set of circumstances. They had resurfaced the tarmac and put grooves in it like at spa. But the forces it exerted on the tyres led to failures. I think Ralf S crashed and the shambles was complete when the organisers wanted to install a chicane to slow drivers down in one corner and the FIA refused because the other tyres were fine and it was unfair on Bridgestone whose had supplied tyres fit for purpose.Champ, verstappen?
