hahahahahahahaha. Quality.the london docklands circuit looks fcuking cack mind... also, imagine some of the posters on this thread if this was F1...
You have to ask though, if we only had 18 races, not 22 or whatever it was, and we dropped these "Fee Tracks" that are largely shite to watch, would it have been just as miserable watching Max run away with it?We should run them the other way round. Imagine Spa!
I think the main thing the sport needs is to expand the group of teams who are realistic potential race winners. Red Bull, Mercedes, Ferrari and McLaren all banging wheels and winning races would be a fine spectacle. Add in the odd win by one of the midfield cars and it would be great. You have to ask though, if we only had 18 races, not 22 or whatever it was, and we dropped these "Fee Tracks" that are largely shite to watch, would it have been just as miserable watching Max run away with it?
Probably close, but bad tracks, too many races &&& Max running away every time really takes the shine off the entire sport imo
Only if they have the money to overspend by in the first place. It was 100% by the rules , you see your problem is you are mistaking shit rules with cheating. In football any striker in the box when touched goes down and gets a penalty. Is it shit? Yes , is it the rules, yes. So they all do it. F1 is all about pushing the rules. RB knew what the punishment would be for an over spend and decided it was worth the risk. Every other team in F1 has the same opportunity.
fairly sure Haas (poss williams?) didnt get near the cap...Only if they have the money to overspend by in the first place.
Like with Man City.
True, but it's still the rules of the game. If they drop the cap Futher these teams will then have had years of practice living within their means.Only if they have the money to overspend by in the first place.

So you have accepted that Red Bull were fine by breaking the spend cap because everyone else could have done it but they didn't every other team stayed within the agreed limits. It was 100% by the rules , you see your problem is you are mistaking shit rules with cheating. It's like football , someone is heading down to score , last man takes him out on the halfway line, gets a yellow card , it was wrong , but people don't cry about it months later. Loads of teams have had minor fines like this for pushing the rules. What a mental way to look at it. Every other team in F1 was basically made aware there would be "severe consequences" and there was rumours of being removed from the standings for the year and other punishments.
Redbull basically started a 100m sprint with a 10metre head start due to cheating.
Regardless of team allegiance nobody can surely deny it was cheating. They have broken the rules which were laid out plain and simple. They knew exactly what they were doing and even tried to play victim for months leading upto the trial.
I try to be very fair when assessing things and look at it from either side but judging by comments on this thread, fans of both teams seem to be severely biased it's actually crazy to see people believing what they type
As long as the are punished within the rules yes. They could be a discussion as to the punishment being harsher , absolutely, but you can't do that after the incident. So you have accepted that Red Bull were fine by breaking the spend cap because everyone else could have done it but they didn't every other team stayed within the agreed limits.
Sorry I just can't accept that, so if say Williams decided to go mental and overspend blowing all the other teams away you would accept that??
So you say it's fine to cheat and just bugger the spend cap then. If the rules aren't followed then what's the point in everyone agreeing to them to start with. It's like football , someone is heading down to score , last man takes him out on the halfway line, gets a yellow card , it was wrong , but people don't cry about it months later. Honestly all the RB haters need to get over it . They over spent , they were punished exactly as the rules said. What's the issue? Or is it because sir Lewis lord of the realm didn't win his 10th championship?

Funny enough, when mclaren got caught reading some paper they got every point and every pound of prize money taken away from them.So you say it's fine to cheat and just bugger the spend cap then. If the rules aren't followed then what's the point in everyone agreeing to them to start with.
The bit in bold is just embarrassing, I love the sport and I love to see some real action where you get to see proper racing. The last 2 seasons have been anything but, when you see one car just blast off ahead of everyone else it's just pointless. Season 2021 was possibly up there with one of the best ever so many races were close and the Championship wasn't decided until the last lap what I would give to see something like that again. But we won't because one team have been allowed to take a huge unfair advantage over everyone else and there is no way you can dress that up any other way.
When Ferrari cheated they were dealt with sneakily too as nothing was disclosed and that was wrong. Red Bull cheated and pretty much just laughed it off and said well we have to feed people working. Come off it man the sanctions imposed on them showed me that there was no real downside to cheating as the advantages gained far outweighed the punishment.
To be fair that was much much worse because they could have gained an advantage. Feeding people artisan sandwiches isn't too bad after all because not one penny of that extra spend was used for R&D, no sir not one penny.Funny enough, when mclaren got caught reading some paper they got every point and every pound of prize money taken away from them.
Strange how it's different for others though.
I sort of agree , but please see the issue isn't the teams or what they try/succeed in getting away with it's the rules. I agree RB should be punished , is it enough or too much? We will have to wait and see with the wind tunnel reduction. I don't think you can say it's to harsh or lenient right now. I saw LH win title after title, I loved it at first then got very bored. Now I am just glad to have someone else winning. And probably after another year I hope another team comes through. So you say it's fine to cheat and just bugger the spend cap then. If the rules aren't followed then what's the point in everyone agreeing to them to start with.

I miss drivers balancing going quick against the damage it was doing to the car. Mansell once melted his engine parts by having full turbo at Silverstone to win. One more lap and it would have seizedI dont think this phase of RB + Max donination is any different to many other similar F1 dominations over the years.
The main difference if any is probably reliability. Even the good cars of the past blew up a few times where this RB is not even troubled at present.
What I've found is that the more you get into F1 the more it disappoints for exactly these reasons. When i only watched the start and often missed full races I wasnt bothered. Now that I watch everything from qualifying to every race I'm getting completely bored with this season.
the drivers are far too good anarl... fair play to max, hes not put a wheel wrong - even senna binned it at monaco in the 1988 season. who's going to be the next jean louis schlesser when we need the world champion to trip up over a back marker? The main difference if any is probably reliability. Even the good cars of the past blew up a few times where this RB is not even troubled at present.
