F1 2023

Honestly , it was a straight dig at you. I don't think you would watch the sport of RB were not in it as it's all you go on about. Everyone had to follow the same rules. By all means I get people wanting the rules to change to make the sport closer , but I've a feeling you just want RB banned for life so you can watch sir Lewis win every weekend?
No I just want a fair sport. You were happy for the regs to be changed in 2021 so why not 2024? No difference between the 2020 merc and the 2023 RB dominance really. Funny how everyone had the same financial rules to follow yet only one team spent £1.8m over the budget cap also. Funny this.

Problem is ...... The sport is fair ..... But still has huge swings in dominance ...... I think the point of the sport just been about who can build the smartest fastest car is long gone. Now it's all about a spectical. So they need to concentrate on this.

The one team that over spent were punished in line with the rules.

I don't think I've been happy with most of the reg changes.

Serious question, do you think formula 1 are loving RB running away with this championship?

Haven't they raised the minimum ride height and the flexi-floor though? Only for RB to pull even further ahead?

The problem is that RB have got Adrian Newey.
I don’t see how either of those disadvantage RB comparably to the rake change impact to merc, or the ban of the diffuser did to brawn for instance

Fair punishment - my arse 🤣

So what happened to riccardo? Miles off his team mate
Without watching too closely I think he had some quali issue then didn’t place himself well off the start. Just rustiness I guess coming in mid season and everything and will take a few races to get past it before we can look at his performances imo

I'm sure helmut will be patient with him

He was the only thing that stood between Schumacher and the title back in the 90s, but this is his opus. I thought fw14b was his Mona Lisa, but these past two cars are easily the best thing he’s ever done…

Coincidence he’s the only designer to have worked in the original ground effects era?
.

TM this afternoon...

That’s me every Sunday Afternoon. And a lot of Saturday afternoons too.

I prefer Formula E now. At least the races are exciting and different teams/ drivers win races. Usually plenty of action. Quali done differently. Season finished yesterday in London and driver’s and team championships both decided in last two races.
Formula 1 is starting to seem like watching a procession and there’s a surprising lack of excitement or entertainment. I’m at the stage where I watch the start and finish and do something else during the race. Happy to see McLaren back in contention and Williams off the bottom. Other than that this season isn’t the best.

The circuits are rarely particularly attractive but the races are worth watching and, unlike F1, most of the interest is at the front. In F1 most of the interesting action is midfield.

It was 100% by the rules , you see your problem is you are mistaking shit rules with cheating. In football any striker in the box when touched goes down and gets a penalty. Is it shit? Yes , is it the rules, yes. So they all do it. F1 is all about pushing the rules. RB knew what the punishment would be for an over spend and decided it was worth the risk. Every other team in F1 has the same opportunity.
the london docklands circuit looks fcuking cack mind... also, imagine some of the posters on this thread if this was F1...

Let's face it, the direction of travel for F1 tracks isn't great in the last few years.
