I can't see how they can not. Remember Lewis getting excluded from qualifying because his rear wing opened 0.2mm wider than it should. If and I mean if they’ve over spent then it’s got to be revoked
He is an extremely talented and hard racer and he has raced far more fairly this year. He is clearly the top driver - no argument from me on that issue.Well done to Max. Now a true world champion and thoroughly deserved for this year..
And this is the problem they face, it's catch 22. If it can be demonstrated that their alleged overspend gave them an advantage that has helped them win these 2 championships, then revoking them is the 'right' thing to do, but further tarnishes last season and turns this one into a farce with every result apart from Bahrain needing to be changed. However, allowing them to keep their "ill gotten gains" just legitimises cheating, and still paints the FIA in a very poor light. He is an extremely talented and hard racer and he has raced far more fairly this year. His car, and how it has been developed and refined, is my issue this year.
Lewis has already said that given more funds Mercedes would have developed a new floor, but didn’t.
That RB is head and shoulders above any other car on the grid. It just seems a tad suspicious and from what we know it’s an open secret in the F1 paddock.
But there is no way the current FIA will do anything meaningful to tarnish their product.
The breach, if there is any, was last year.He is an extremely talented and hard racer and he has raced far more fairly this year. He is clearly the top driver - no argument from me on that issue.

You do realise that development for this years car doesn’t happen this year right? And any infraction for last year will have benefit this years car more than last years. And as the regulations are fixed, RB have guaranteed supremacy until 2026 by cheating? And by all accounts they are also massive over budget for this year too?The breach, if there is any, was last year.
Unless it was development of the engine last year, then developments last year have little of no impact on this years car as it’s a totally different car.
Also worth pointing out that Max crossed the finish line with 3 seconds remaining, so there should have been another lap.I’m close to not bothering with this farcical shite anymore….
Can’t argue with the fact that The Dutch bell drove well this season…the car was miles above anyone else ( we’ll see how that pans out, probably get fine their pocket money)
But the FIA in my eyes have lost control of the dressing room in their decision making and general tardiness and RB love in.
What the actual fuck was that? It’s so unbelievably corrupt it’s not even funny. Couldn’t give Charles his penalty quick enough. Despite there being hundreds of cases of drivers doing that and getting off with it. And no idea how they managed to change the rules to give full points because “they forgot to include it in the rules”. So fixed it’s disgusting. Hope the cheats are banned come Monday.
Of course. I’m talking the accounts were from last year, April to April. The breach relates to last year. Any penalty should be for last year, unless its something that is clearly benefitting this years car.You do realise that development for this years car doesn’t happen this year right? In the case of the chequered flag being thrown early, article 56.2 states that the race is rolled back to the lap before, and hence Charles finishes P2 and Max doesn’t win today.
But it’s not like the FIA to fix races to benefit Max is it?
90% of car development for 2022 is done before April 2022 mate. Im not sure how hard that is to comprehend. Especially given the seasons testing started in February 2022.Of course. Yet again it’s really awful by the FIA and shows a clear RB bias. Why wasn’t Charles allowed to plead his case to the stewards as Perez was? Despite Perez’s being a black and white requirement to stay a fixed distance behind the car in front, and Charles’ being a subjective decision. It’s good for my fave team it gets penalties quicker than others. Completely blows the notion FIA stands for Ferrari International Assistance out of the water. Destroys the ancient and brain dead idea that all the FIA do is help the Scuderia. If it means getting that monkey of our backs I would be happy to see my Ferrari team get penalties.
Does seem a bit ratty.I absolutely adore this because of how much it annoys @TravellingMackem![]()
But i must point out, i am not defending Red Bull. If and its still an IF they have broke the budget cap they need the book thrown at them. I am of the assumption, and I’m sure its true, that you can develop as much as you want, its when you place it on the car that the budget cap counts. Haven’t RB developed a lighter chassis but wont put it on this year as it will affect this years budget cap?Yet again it’s really awful by the FIA and shows a clear RB bias. The bit that is suspicious to me, and strengthens your point is their straight line speed. It is way above anybody else’s, massively. I would guess the budget cap was broke with this.
Maybe it is. But why wasn’t he allowed to plead his case like Perez was 3 hours after the race? It’s a much more subjective decision. I’d argue being more than 10 car lengths behind the safety car is also an offence - especially after a warning so why wasn’t Perez penalised for that?I mean I massively dislike red bull, but it’s an open and shut penalty for Le Clerc sadly. If that was with 20 laps left he’d be made to switch places
We all know they are guilty. The FIA wouldn’t have dragged it out this much if there wasn’t an offence. They’ve been investigated since March - sorry but it doesn’t take that long to compile some accounts - I work closely with our own finance team at a company with 20 times to turnover of the budget cap and it doesn’t take half this time to do it.Does seem a bit ratty.

Hate the budget cap by the way.I take everything on face value when it comes to F1 and I’m just glad it’s changed from watching Merc win everything because their budget was millions and millions more than everyone else.
There’s a lot of RB haters on here but TM acts like he’s the Uber by quoting regulations & events from years ago and then can’t handle it when he’s proven to be wrong. The definition of childish.
