Given Haas's love for an experienced midfielder who hasn't really done much, I have to think he'll end up there.
I did quite like Hulk when he was racing, but I think he's had his chance. I think that spot should go to someone younger.

I imagine there are certain vested interests in getting an American driver onto the grid next season, so I wouldn't be surprised.
Felipe Drugovich is another possibility, F2 champion and not currently tied to any F1 team.

He did that about 5 years back, wanted to do other projects like boats and road cars iirc.
Then got dragged back in (massive pay rise, I guess).
Always seemed too nice to work for Red Bull really.

Reading between the lines I took the 2022 regulations as the crowning end to his F1 career.

He worked for FOM, who governed the tech side of things, but this is their last year with F1, after which all their tasks go in-house IIRC.
So this was always his last season as things stood
