As much as I love this as a track for road cars it would never work in F1. Track is too narrow with very little in the way of overtaking opportunities.

Alonso deserved the title in 2010 and 2012. Vettel was great in the Red Bull days of sticking it on pole and just driving off into the distance. He’s a great driver but he’s a tier behind Hamilton and Alonso.
Little fact also, he’s never won a Grand Prix when he’s started outside the top three
I would suggest that both Verstappen and Riccardo arebetter drivers than Vettel. They both seem to get more out of their car than Vettel does

Fairly sure Liberty have indicated they’re look to expand via city street circuits, ie. the stalled Miami proposal. I think Copenhagen has been rumoured too...
They’ve also said they want to consolidate the traditional historical events ie. Italian/German/French GPs - where the impending cancelation of Silverstone fits I don’t know. Is next year the last?
The days of a new gp & tilke circuit are gone imho.

It's a shame for Bottas though as this is clearly "his" track, even going back to his Williams days.
If it all goes well and they're easily 1-2 then yes. Assuming Vettel finishes third, 10 points gained on him equals two races clear on points.
The amount of points Vettel has gained compared to Hamilton is scary. Everyone goes on about Vettels dropped points over the last two seasons but not the points he’s been gifted from Ferrari

As long as vettel is 3rd or worse I think they’d let them race even...
My opinion on Bottas is quite poor. Mercedes won’t need to use race orders. Hamilton will overtake anyway, then Vettel will overtake Bottas.
Absolutely no chance of that. Lewis 2nd Vettel 3rd would only be a 3 point gain as opposed to a 10 pointer if they switched them round.
Orders at Merc will be completely clear, be 1-2 at the end of lap 1, then make sure Lewis wins as comfortably as possible.

This, and then when Hamilton is mathematically assured of the title then they can let both the Mercedes drivers race.

After the event I know but the 50 point gap was always going to be a deciding factor
