F1 2018



The Mercs were quite a bit faster than everyone else in the race simulations at Barca testing so very hard to look past Hamilton and Mercedes once again. Always hard to tell from the testing but Hamilton did state that the car is a lot quicker this season

I'll be watching it all this weekend, got a 12.5hr shift on Saturday but I don't leave the house till seven so should be able to watch qualifying live along with the race on Sunday
 
1st practice in, need to see them all on the same tyres but interesting to see Verstappen ahead of both Ferraris while they were on the same.

Was hoping the saubers would be more competitive this year with a proper ferrari engine. Doesn't look like it
 
Hamilton fastest in the second session but the ggaos a lot closer with Verstappen second quickest. I reckon Web is snadbagging as well, no way is Kimi going to end up quicker as he has been the first two sessions.
Oh and it's going to piss it down during qualifying and probably the third session as well so anything could happen tomorrow. Just hope the quali session isn't delayed as its supposed to be 6-7am and I set off for work at 7.

If it does rain that will be a very interesting quali session

LEWIS HAMILTON is expected to sign a mega £120MILLION Mercedes deal this week — the biggest contract in British sporting history.

The Formula One world champion will earn £40m a year over the first two years of the new agreement, while he also has the option of a third year.


So, er, how does that work then? How does it go from £40m, to potentially £60m, to suddenly exactly double that for no particular reason.
