Ex-players offering their congratulations

I managed to be given an invite to the royal box through work.

Monty and Micky Horsewill were in the Royal Box (as was Reidy and Quinny).
Monty seemed to have is Grandson with him and was sat on the front row with Satori and KLD and their partners. Maurice LD was also there and I had a really nice chat with him. He was so excited and happy and you can tell he’s massively into it all. I hadn’t realised he had a place of the board now as well.

It was an unpleasant reminder to see Methven and Donald there, but interesting to see they only had seats in rows 5 and 4 respectively. Bob Murray was give a better seat iirc.

KLD and Sartori are obviously very close and the latter was loving it all and singing along to the songs and bouncing around on his seat. KLD is a super cool customer.

p.s. I blagged my way to the front row of the royal box for the presentation and congratulated all the players as they made there way along after collecting the trophy. Ended-up hugging some of them and shaking hands with the rest. Bloody amazing day and was such a privilege to be sitting where a I was and have such an amazing experience.
MC by any chance?

My only memory of Cuellar is him taking a comedy long throw at some point during his time here.
I remember this. He had a really long run up, then planted his two feet together on the line (making the run-up pointless). Arched his back and it went about 15 yards

Soft spot for Kyle, much more so since he retired. Looking back it was harsh to judge him against a legend in Quinn, and to a lesser degree even Dichio. He did a good job at championship level and we would do well to recruit similar this next season
If not for his hip injury he probably would have had a good career as a top end championship striker, 12 goals as a target man in his first full season was a decent return.

Decent striker but obviously more of a bludgeon than a technical player like Quinny, anyone who followed Quinny was going to be in for a rough time. I always liked him, met him in the bogs in town once, everyone was telling him to get back fit so he could put Andy Gray out of the team.
