Defoe said he was coming to help get us over the line, and in a small way he did. He got us excited to be Sunderland fans again in the week after our worst ever result. He gave us a distraction for the few weeks while Neil was getting us going. He took a little pressure off Stewart when Broadhead was injured. And his presence on the field created a few of the goals we needed at key times. It didn’t work out in the end, but I’d have one Defoe over a hundred Griggs.
Tommy miller and Kevin Kyle were there yesterday also
Looked like Quinny was emotional at the end and Reidys 'WOW!' is worth a thousand words
They get us
I can totally believe it......what a fantastic memory for you to always have....!It was just amazing. The result alone was fantastic but with everything else it was perfect. It’s the sort of thing that you don’t think could ever happen. I work for a charity(*) not a big corporate.
I woke up this morning with a rather sore head and it took a while for it to sink in that it had all occurred. Thankfully I had the pics people had sent me from the tv footage or the video my brother (who I managed to get a ticket for below the royal box in the booby Moore stand) to convince me it wasn’t a drunken dream!

There was a floating lads scarfHow does anyone know Tommy miller was there?
