Everyone calling for MON's head

Fair post.

That's what I want too. For MON to have the chance to turn it round. Sacking someone after a year smacks of lunacy and desperation.

Here here.

Desperation is a good word to sum it up. Like spoilt bairns throwing a tantrum because they aren't getting their new toys quickly enough.

Being concerned and wanting to change managers are two different things.

Huzzah, he's got it.

There are maybe half a dozen out of this entire board who want MoN gone. Ignore them, they're idiots. They'll immediately start on the next bloke anyway, along with those who've got it into their heads that everyone wants MoN gone.

There are a few more who think nothing is wrong and have blind faith that things will magically get better. They are also idiots.

The rest of us are very concerned as to why such a proven manager and a squad he's previously gotten excellent performances out of have failed to turn up so consistently this season. Every single one of these people wants Martin O'Neill to turn this around and explore every avenue for improving us. Stop making us out to be the hysterical gleeful lunatics who went for Bruce.

This, this, a thousand times this.

Some people don't even seem like they're concerned.

I think that's just to counter the suicidal sids tbh.

Do you accept people having a right to be concerned now?

I do accept it, as we are having a bad run. No denying that. What I don't accept is jumping of the deep end and having a proper hissy fit, saying that we're getting relegated if we don't change managers.

What we need right now is some good old fashioned solidarity in the face of the rut that we're in. Its what used to define us as supporters.

Do you not think he should be under pressure Fishpaste?

Not at the moment no. He has to be accountable at some point, but no one will be in a position to accurately judge him hear for another year or so.

What grates me is the fact that some of us think that we know more about Mon's job than him. Citing formations and tactics is one example. Don't these people know that MON is aware of our deficiencies and is trying to rectify them.

Some things are just out of control and we just have to deal with them. Some things however are not. Like how we behave as fans and get behind the team in the hour of need. The groans yesterday when we passed the ball back to retain possession were cringe worthy. Esp the one's aimed at AJ. FFS we made him shit himself every time he got the ball.

you happy with his tactics mate , do you think 2 wins in 21 or 22 is acceptable , is that not an accountable amount of games to judge a top manager on
ps i dont want rid but wold like to watch a decent game of football obe in a while and the odd win now and then not every 3 months

its easy having a pop at the fans mate , we are extremely tolerant but a lot seem to think we are jumping on backs for the sake of it , his record over the last 2/3s of a season is atrocious and fans have every right

Its the sky sports news/fanboy society we live in atm I'm afraid.

It seems that instant gratification is the perceived aim for a lot of people out there. Not knowing that true success takes time and a lot of hard work.

MON has been in the job less than a year. Give him time.
