Everyone calling for MON's head

The stadium has the same feel at the moment as in the last days of Bruce, if we had of got beat last night i think a large section would of turned as much as it did for Bruce against Wigan

It looked like it was going to be Deja vu of Wigan last year when they had that attack in stoppage time. In my opinion, he needs to go and thats the first time i've said it.

A period that had it been over the course of a whole season would of season us relegated.
If we go down this season it is a f***ing disaster and a one i doubt the fans or club would ever recover from

The same has been said for ages, man.

Relegation in 1990 and missing out on the start of the Premier League was supposed to be a disaster we would never recover from.

Relegation ensuring we'd enter our new Stadium outside of the top flight was supposed to be a disaster we would never recover from.

Relegation with 19 points and a load of debt was supposed to be a disaster we would never recover from.

Relegation with 15 points so soon after it was supposed to be a disaster and a stigma we'd never recover from.

In reality, with Short, the structured contracts, and the much bigger parachute payments, the club has never been in a better position to recover from a relegation. Mind, that's something I hope we never put to the test.

There is not a single doubt that he is getting away with murder at the minute due to his name

But if we had won, we would've been in a stronger position in the league and above the mags (which a lot of fans use as a yard stick. Not me mind).

So you have to admit that a one game swing shouldn't be used as a stick to get rid of MON.

managers live and die by both performances and results his have been shocking now for as long as i can remember

This.

I think we are in far bigger trouble this season than I imagine Fishpaste does but he's bang on the money here.

No matter how good the players are, getting us to sit on the edge of our box waiting for a counter attack ( with players that arent quick enough to counter) is a disaster waiting to happen. We move the ball about so slowly even when we have the chance to counter attack the other team are back in position before we get anywhere close to threatening there goal, his tactics stink

Did you see Bardsley? He was on the right with the ball, cut inside, realised there was NOBODY near him, had to turn back on himself, no options again.. I think he lost it in the end but when he did he went f***ing nuts at Sessegnon I think.

I saw that. Maybe he needs to shout at himself as he gave the ball away far too much last night.

I don't think chanting for his sacking after one loss too many can be classed as hounding him out, or do you believe the spin that was spouted by Bruce and his bum chums in the media since his sacking too?

The abuse certainly played a part.

Yeah but we did not win, we could not break down a side who last kept a clean sheet months and months ago and currently sit on four points, how long have we said for now "if we win this game, we will do this" etc, the facts are we are not winning these games and the season is turning into more and more of a relegation battle as the weeks go by.

Four win in twenty seven games is just not good enough

He is looking hopeless and hapless at the moment. The way he agitates on the touchline does not resemble the actions of a man in control. His interviews and press conferences are worrying as he often doesn't make a lot of sense. He is under pressure and has no answers, it really isn't looking good.

My firm belief for a long time is that the club needs a much stronger continental influence in the way of players, tactics and manager. These washed up old school British journeymen managers like Bruce and O'Neill just seem shite in today's game.

Like who?

Change for the sake of it doesn't always work. Likewise for getting a foreign manager in.

Using David Moyes is a good analogy. Its not so long ago that the Everton fans were calling for his head, but has turned things round. Hope we give MON the same courtesy.

If we fail with this infrastructure and this manager we may aswell shut up shop, i cannot see many fans coming back if the worst case scenario happened, the levels of frustration due to the expectations we now have would be way to much for most

What expectations? Win a few games and we're happy.

No one is saying it is. But the answer doesn't ALWAYS lie in sacking the manager. History proves that. MON's own history proves that ffs. Even at Villa and with a free-spending chairman he only effected minimal change in his first season.

That we should be nowhere near yet another f***ing relegation battle, we have everything in place to be a solid top ten side, if we were to go down this season i expect many to give it up

The style of play he has us currently playing is some of the worst i can remember seeing at the SOL whilst we have been in the top flight, his results are woeful and the performances are, its a recipe for disaster, i honestly dont know anymore if he is the bloke to turn it around

I'm not saying it is good enough. It has to improve. I just think that we have a better chance of doing so without changing the manager.

Anyway, you said we couldn't break down a team who have not kept a clean sheet for months. Do you not recognise the "harry" factor?

But the chants didn't just spring out of thin air. They were the culmination of what had developed into an increasingly hostile period for the bloke. The same scenario is unfolding under O'Neill. If the crowd are to have the last word on this he probably has weeks rather than months.

Nope, i though QPR were about as average as their points tally indicates

Fans will always come back man!! I can remember walking home after the Gillingham game, twisting I would never be back or watch 3rd division football, I never missed a home game in the 3rd and went to most away!!

History shows we are very well supported in the 2nd tear, because we win more games!!
