Agree with that. Gueye isn't ready yet and it seems Bily just isn't gonna work out.

Funds is the key hence a full back laying RM and I have to say that there's nobody I'd trust more than Moyes in charge given our boards lack of transfer funds.

Obviously I don't see Everton every week, so I'm only going on opinions of Blues I know and the bits and pieces I see, but Bily has been here 18 months and if he's not up to it by now, then surely thats his chance gone. Coleman looks like a full back in the making which would leave Neville to play a defensive midfield role which I reckon at his age and experience he would excel.

But until Everton can go out and spend £20m+ on two forwards you'll be scratching round, Saha looks finished, Yak is a bit porky and Beckford is nowhere near good enough.

Pretty much right about Bily. A lot of people thought he would shine this season after a year of adjustments and playing non-stop footy but he just seems to struggle still with the pace of the game. Evertonian makes a good point though that he's not a winger but it's getting harder to continue to excuse him. Think Moyes will cut his losses.

Coleman's a good player. Not as bad a defender as some would lead you to believe and this spell in midfield seems to be doing him well. Deffo lined up as Neville's replacement at RB.

As for the forwards Saha has been out-of-sorts since his new deal, Yak is finally getting back to where he was after a really serious injury and I think we'll need to give Beckford a year at least. Had Anichebe been fit I doubt he'd have played as much as he has.

We miss Fellaini in central midfield massively. Heitinga is clueless when played there and I think thats taking its toll on Arteta.

Gueye hasn't had a chance despite our massive lack of pace, he's had a little run out in the carling cup and looked impressive. Bilyaletdinov is being used as a winger when he clearly isn't one. I'm not saying he should start games but when he comes in it should be in the middle, preferably behind the striker but obviously that's Cahills position.

Good point that, hopefully Fellaini's return in a couple of weeks will free Arteta up. f***ing hope so

It took Fellaini a similar amount of time to settle and get into his correct position.

That's Fellaini's position ;)

Yeah, that's the general consensus about Rodwell, that'll he'll eventually move into Defence and be different class there.

As I say, they are a brilliant side like. The type we are (rightly) aspiring to be like. We need to add more quality in midfield, as you allude to, basically.

They are good but not brilliant that's a bit strong. To be a brilliant team you need great front men & Everton struggle in that area. Impressed with Coleman tonight & Baines as usual had a good game against us.

baines and cahill should be added tp the list that includes stan collymore, ricky otto, fraser digby etc

Fellaini is a definite miss, he's a top top player, and Coleman looks like a full back to me. I just think that Neville has the Premier League 'smarts' to play an anchor role in midfield which will let Fellaini and Arteta play. Didn't Arteta play his best stuff on the left for you? I might be wrong.

I saw Beckford play a few times in League 1 and a good mate of mine is an ST at Elland Road and we both agreed that it's hilarious that Beckford is playing in the Premier League. If he doesn't play and you sell him on for a couple of million then no harm done, but he shouldn't be anywhere near your team.

Baines plays well against everyone, he's class. How Warnock got in the England squad ahead of him i'll never know.

It sums up how limited we are in that area when a lot of our fans want him to start games. (including myself). He's looked lively at times and scored an absolute cracker against Bolton, the miss tonight was a shocker though.

The forwards also need service. We're very good at keeping the ball but cannot open teams up just now. There is a lack of quality in the final ball and we have no pace bar Coleman.

The return of Fellaini and Rodwell plus Donovan back on loan will help with that. Somebody will get a proper twatting soon.

Fellaini's got more to his game than pissing about at defensive midfielder IMO, Arteta is obviously a class act and we all despise Cahill for a very good reason (as demonstrated AGAIN tonight). Didn't Hetinga play a lot of full back in Holland?

Anyhow, put a good and fit centre forward in that side and you have a cracking team, two great centre backs, Baines is a quality full back, and excellent in midfield.

He's a nothing player. If he plays then you're playing with ten men and those days are long gone, and he's not good enough to make up for it with regular goals.

It's funny how you see your side compared to us. I though you played some great stuff through midfield tonight and cut us open a few times, with a little bit more luck in front (or dodgy not offside decision) you would have the points. We are a quick back to front team, by no means long ball but we're all about moving it up quickly and getting players in support. I think you'll regret getting shot of Moyles, if it ever happens.

Fellaini looked very poor when he was played more forward, he's best sitting back pulling the strings. I think Arteta will come back into form when he's got Felli back behind him. Heitinga will be gone in January. Hopefully. He's a f***ing gobshite.

As I said before, it's only what we see every now and again, but he looks like a player to me. So if Fella plays in the middle with Arteta it's 4-5-1 all the way for yous?

Never. Unless we get relegated. Which obviously won't happen.

Oi! You said earlier you wouldn't be disappionted if he went. ;)

Yeah i've got no problem with that, just Moyes utter reluctance to change it during a game before it's too late.

I wouldn't be disappointed, but i know it'll never happen. Unless he walks and there's no reason for him to.

There was no reason to change it tonight, the space that you were finding in midfield was criminal and our two centre halfs spent most of their time heading decent balls into our box.

Moyes should be bulletproof after what he's done, maybe he needs to sell a player at the top of his game to generate funds a la Rooney and see what he can do then? You could get over the top money for Jagielka or Rodwell, so if the investement isn't there then maybe let one of them go and trust in Moyes?

As soon as we went 2-1 down Heitinga and Saha should've gone off for Yak and Beckford. As for having Rodwell run the wing, well, that decision is still baffling me now.

And no manager should ever be bulletproof tbf, especially ones without a trophy.

Moyes has done a great job for you, sometimes in difficult to near impossible conditions. And you don't have an automatic right to win anything - something that the other half of your city too easily forgets.

Rodwell was a puzzling one, I'll give you that.

Trophies nowadays is a wierd one, given that the league is out of reach then theres only a Cup or Europe to aim for and Moyes has kind of overachieved with what he's had work with.
