Everton v Utd

Mate if they scored that I wouldn't have had a problem as for me its a perfectly good goal.

Had the ball hit siggurdsson as it went in 100% offside but he's doing nothing in that passage of play to effect the game and is only there after being clattered by their defender trying to block his shot on goal.

The games gone to the dogs when its ruled out for that it just is.

The english refs are God awful and are encouraged not to look at the monitor themselves in games whereas every other leagues refs do it - farce pal.
Are you just ignoring my quoting of the rest of the offside rule many fans aren't aware of?:lol:

You're quoting the rule but that very same rule is as BS as the one that if a ball flies up and hits you on the hand unintentionally its a hand ball. Or the rule that if someones foreskin is 1mm offside it isnt a goal.

Its total crap - if you want to watch and live football by the nth degree then fair enough but that isnt and never has been football.

If this is how VAR is going to be used myself and many others will start turning off as its destroying the game.

All I want is common sense - referee looks at the pitch side monitor and asks the question - is De Gea saving that deflected goal when he's diving the opposite way of the shot if Gylfi Siggurdsson isnt sat on the ground?

If the answer is no it should be a goal its as simple as that. You dont see these issues in any other league so again WHY in England?

So you now get the OR part of the offside rule but you're still blaming VAR for applying the offside rule? (given your shite you spouted earlier in the thread about LIv/Man U getting decisions and the imcompetence of officials)

Aye the new handball rule is daft as is this 1mm shite for close offsides but that's the FA's rules for this season, nowt to do with VAR. They may get reviewed for next season but for now that's how it is.

Can you show us where in the offside rule it says use common sense?:lol:

Say the rules said a player had to shove both their fingers up their nose before they scored. If someone scored but they had only shoved 1 finger up their nose then VAR would have to rule it out. It would be the correct decision due to the rule and the goal couldn't be allowed using common sense that not shoving 1 finger up your nose isn't really an advantage.

Are you one of the 'proper supporters' that can't be arsed going to matches or one of the 'proper supporters' that actually goes but spends all the time on his phone pissing about on a Sunderland forum

Or one of those that couldn't go today as his young bairns been ill but thanks for asking Keith Yernited mad from Plymouth

I was listening to Andy Gray and Alladyce earlier and they were spot on the officials simply haven't a clue because they havent played the game.

Fans just want commom sense officiating - why are ex professional players not getting gigs in officiating or trained in VAR?

Theres a reason why no English ref gets a gig in the world cup and its because they are garbage.
I am huge Sunderland supporter but enjoy watching football..... I am not emotionally invested in Everton or Man Utd but love watching the game. That was a goal in my opinion it hurts the game when VAR rubbish destroys the moment

I get ‘your opinion’ and I’d like to see them given too but you have to attempt to apply letter of law with these things and that’s what had happened.
This rule may be relaxed next season, who knows but as it stands it was the correct decision.

You must’ve been an absolute pillar of strength for the poor bairn whilst you’ve been bashing away at your keyboard on here all day!

Don't bother even watching the Derby games

Tbf you watch more Merseyside Derbies than me draped in your badges and Klopp club shop tat.

VAR got it spot on. Not that it was difficult. He's in front of the keeper.

He's on the floor, doesnt touch the ball & and its going in with or without him being there - its not the same as say the ball unintentionally hitting his hand into his path to score from as the cause = effect is there whereas in this case it isnt.

Rule or no rule its a farce and isnt football marra thats my point.

He's on the floor. Irrelevant. He's in front of the keeper.

It doesnt touch him. Irrelevant. He's in front of the keeper.

It's going in regardless. I'm not so sure. The keeper moves to the right because a player is in front of him.

Disagree with the rules all you want. That's the rules and the therefore the rules that are applied.

It was an easy decision marra.
