Don't think it's clutching at straws, Moyes said he does this in his press conference. Rooney, Arteta, Rodwell, Lescott were all sold and funds used to improve overall squad strength. The only explanation I can come up with in my head is if we sell Kone for £18m or £21m whatever is and there was reports about Lens leaving too. If we get £30m for them two players, it's gonna give Moyes some maneuvering in the market and could potentially get 4 or 5 for that.
I am clutching at straws mind.
As I've already said it would have been put in front of him as an incentive to sign for a club that looked on its way out of the Premier League, same as relegation clauses would have been put in, we weren't the only club interested in him.
Hopefully he is. Maybe we'll be looking back saying we should have done better to keep him. That's the risk we take.Yes, I don't WANT him to leave, but if he is a disruptive influence and we get good money, see ya Lamine! He'll be a forgotten man in 3 years.
You're comparing a Quinn & Bruce transfer policy to Moyes and Baine......
Or take take the case of Bent. It would have been far cheaper to,just pay his wages, but Short was in full sell to buy mode, as he still appears to be. I still say that the bulk of this window's budget was spent in January. It's not how it works though.....look at my earlier post where i highlighted our attempts to replace Henderson......we never did despite 7 attempts costing a lot more than we raised with the sale.
Nowhere near our best player. Probably not even top 3.Arguably our best player, the club needs to do everything to keep him. A class above most of team and unlike Kaboul will play most of the games
you are Clueless who is oshea?Nowhere near our best player. Probably not even top 3.

There we have it, two new blokes out to show Short that they are better than their predecessors and can do the job on little or no money. We all, know that you can't. This is only a passing thought, we will know in a few weeks. You're comparing a Quinn & Bruce transfer policy to Moyes and Baine......
So nothing of any credibility in quality mainstream press.DELUDED
Im not being blinded by anything, Moyes has a managerial choice to make, that's why he was employed. All clubs sell players in order to further strengthen, why should we be any different?
I wont be throwing my toys out of the pram that's for sure.
Eh?you are Clueless who is oshea?![]()
And seems as you asked, O Shea won the champions league, played hundreds of times for one of the world's most successful teams and managers, captained his side at international tournaments.you are Clueless who is oshea?![]()
It is who he replaces the sold player with. The best anyone can say is they don't know about our big signing so far, as for the others we have a fair idea.Im not being blinded by anything, Moyes has a managerial choice to make, that's why he was employed. Progress where? The best we will ever achieve is mid table. So year on year staying up is the aim and selling players for enough profit to maintain that position is sensible. We can't afford not to sell players at an inflated profit.I don't think so. You don't sell your best players if you want to progress.
