£17m?

Let's see if the club have learned anything at all about how to work in the transfer market.

He's our player, one we should be building the team around, and one we should be making clear will not be leaving, the end.

If he leaves, I'll be gutted we've lost a player of the calibre we thought we could only dream of.
If he leaves for that derisory amount, I'll be gutted we've lost him, and furious that the club are thick as fuck and/or interested only in cashing in our assets.

Let's hope these rumours are bollocks. Fuck the money, we need Kone.
After the Papy deal, I have a lot of faith in the new CEO and manager to play this (if it even exists) correctly. Likewise, I think that Ellis genuinely wants Moyes to succeed and wouldn't want to undermine him so early in his tenure. Imagine Agent Mike in this situation.

£25m and start talking.

divvent be daft man, we dont do huge transfer profits:lol:

the fact that Short said he tried to get Moyes five times tells you all you need to know imho

....and the fact the Moyes played Kone last night at CB, while JOS and JR started in unfamiliar positions. If Kone was in Moyes' plans to be away, I'm sure it would have been simple to have either JOS or Rodders take his place.

I love the logic on this place like. Centre half has been identified as a priority position this window. We sign one and all of a sudden it means someone must be leaving.

I know they are two completely different types of players but Stones has been terrible for over a season. If he is worth £50m then Kone (despite the low amount of games played) must be worth £30m in today's market. Kone was immense at the end of the season and barely put a foot wrong in the run in.

We would be mad to sell him, however everyone has a price.
At a time when we are struggling to recruit it's a distraction and another head to get in if its allowed or true
Fortunately Everton are not such a big draw now and moving from us to them doesn't make sense if wages are the same.
I hope we keep him, we don't look great up front at the minute so need to keep clean sheets to grab points.
The signing yesterday, MVila today hopefully and the mighty Fulham have cheered me up

Everton can kiss my entire wrinkly saggy arse. Who resurrected this shite anyway?

All over Twitter that Ashley Williams is expected to move to Everton, been left out of the Swansea squad for today's friendly also

wont happen.
this season we wont be stupid enough to sell a key player close to the start.

New manager with a long contract and guarantees from the ceo

I just get the feeling we are a bit more serious this year
We'd better be, lack of signings I can live with, but flogging him to a potential rival would really piss on me strawberries. We need to be ambitious enough to hang on to players like him, god knows it's not a regular occurrence to have his kind of quality here.

Not one person on this board knows more than them.
What ! Not even you ?
