Everton 17m Bid

£17m?

Let's see if the club have learned anything at all about how to work in the transfer market.

He's our player, one we should be building the team around, and one we should be making clear will not be leaving, the end.

If he leaves, I'll be gutted we've lost a player of the calibre we thought we could only dream of.
If he leaves for that derisory amount, I'll be gutted we've lost him, and furious that the club are thick as fuck and/or interested only in cashing in our assets.

Let's hope these rumours are bollocks. Fuck the money, we need Kone.

17 mil should be a standard reject but it's us so I wouldn't be surprised if we bit their hands off

This club has talked their way round the selling of henderson, bent and then gyan after the window shut to name a few. If these get a decent offer for kone they will sell.

bent had his head turned into thinking a move would get him back in the england squad, gyan went for a massive pay increase...hendo at the time was an offer the club could not really refuse.
any club that gets a good offer for a player will at the very least consider it, especially if it means almost instant profit.
moyes has little to work with as it is and i dare say will block any approach for a first team player especially a defender, even more so for a defender who has a great partnership with his mate (jos and wes were not the mainstay of man utd's defence because no one wanted to buy them) as a decent defence gives a solid platform to build on and would explain buying another big lad to step in when needed.

Doomies will love this

Like I said you don't have to be "ITK". It is common knowledge we are not exactly Bury. Though in terms of luck it seems like it we aren't. We all know we have enough to buy players
Almost completely contradicting what you were spouting just a couple of days ago.
You have the attention, consistency and memory of a gnat

Which says they haven't put a bid in, that they'd only put a bid in if the can't get Ashley Williams and even then that's only if Stones goes to Man City.

In other words, it's bollocks.
Are you replying to him or his infamous internet persona?

So your admitting, finally you know fuck all then? Champion
Oh no I've been relying on @Mr David as the bastion of truth and real itk stuff.
I'm crushed.

Why? If Moyes has a modicum of sense he will not even entertain that bid. He will just ignore it and get Pienaar in which would be an interesting moent of irony. Everton don't get one of ours but we are able to get one of theirs.
Pienaar????
As usual years behind the times.
In your dimly lit brain you remember him being ok.
In the days when he could run etc.
Just as you did with saha and mcfadden who were also both finished but whom you both hailed.
You must have been the person who they based the father dougal character on.

The club ought to be very clear with Everton, Kone and his agent; we do not wish to sell him, it is not in the best interests of the club, and we value him to the extent of increasing his wages and extending his contract. End of discussion, but feel free to bring this up again next summer.

I can not see Moyes sanctioning this one as he's already stated he want's to try an emulate what he did at Everton and to do that you don't sell your better players you keep them and and try and improve.

For goodness sake, wait until Stones has left and Everton have £50m in cash burning a hole. Then quote them £30m.

Apparently inquired last week, were told not for sale, then nothing.

Bid for Williams, rejetected, haven't gone higher.

Don't think they are interested unless there is a willingness to sell. Everyone knows what they are getting for stones so a club not actively looking to sell will try to fleece them for most of it.
