I would give them up immediately and go back to footballs roots. I would find a club say in League One. Perhaps a club that had once seen better days but had suffered a big set back in recent years and was struggling to meet the expectations of its fans. A club in the top six or so but perhaps always never quite there who might be able to win one of those daft trophy's once in a while that they have for those underachieving outfit.... Oh hang on!

If they are kicked out I have a feeling the next tv deal will be worth less money financially. Could we actually be in a decent position to rise through the divisions if this happened with us being able to have a clean slate in regards to the playing staff come this summer?

The TV deal would be much smaller imo. But would that really matter? Some clubs would have serious problems in the Premier League, but they're spending beyond their means anyway. The rest of us don't get any real TV money anyway. The league would have to rely on gate receipts much more again.

If affects the National sport , yes

Not a chance. These are privately owned clubs with players under contract

The Premier League, football league, FA and Government need to be very careful with their next moves.

If they get their response to this wrong they could destroy football in this country with hundreds of clubs going to the wall

Dodgy historical perspective incoming.

In the 1930's, European governments adopted a policy of appeasement to cope with the rise of Nazi Germany, to prevent a war. Eventually, even someone as dim as Neville Chamberlain cottoned on that all that achieved was to encourage the aggressor even more, and that the only solution was to stand up to them.

In fairness to old Nev, he was briefed consistently that the forces were in no position to go to war.

So it would be a mid week competition to replace the champions league for a select few and the rest of the premier league now have little to place for, no chance of winning the league, no spl, a worthless European Cup.... Just fodder for the glorious elite we should all feel privileged to witness.
And this would only be for a short period.
After a few seasons this will grow to weekends rather than midweek, (bigger audience) games played in the States .
If we don't kick them out they will leave anyway

Was just going to post the same. SSN are quoting a board member from one of the clubs and it sounds like they aren’t bothered if they are kicked out of the PL. Apparently the riches are too big

Do it quick because there's enough big European teams who haven't shown their hand yet.

Every chance the UK 6 could be left with points deductions and egg on their faces for this to never rear its ugly head again.
