Cloud cuckoo land mate. There is not a legal challenge that can be won for removing revenue from matches they have already played or from stripping a business of it's trademarks.
Best thing that could happen out of this is that government bring in legislation forcing the FA to adopt a rule that all clubs in the pyramid system must be minimum 51% fan owned and preferably find a legal way to make it affordable for them to make that 51% acquisition.
If they have broken the rules then they can have financial penalties applied equal to their amounts of prize money. And the EPL can change the rules retrospectively if they want.
Plenty of examples of companies having trademarks removed. Doesn’t the city of Manchester effectively allow Manchester United and city free use of the name?

Surely the problem the fans of these teams have is, if they go into the ESL and it doesn’t make as much money as they thought and interest isn’t as high, then these clubs will crumble under the weight of their own debt?

It’s a f***ing disgrace.

Will be interesting to see what Pep Guardiola's press conference will be like in an hours time? The silence from Man City's owners is very unlike them and worrying, despite them being in a no-win situation. They haven't invested for the past 13 years to then suddenly decline a place at the perceived 'top table' ... but then again alienate the entire Blues fanbase in the process?

You are talking absolute shit yet again, why would I not know what is going on ffs, any fan from any club with half a brain could see that Sunderland were buying mostly shit or average players season after season that was dead easy to spot, the fact that I have been on this board regularly for many years would suggest that I would definitely know what was going on at Sunderland as well.

I simply and correctly said that as soon as Short stopped putting his money in the shit hit the fan and you ended up with even worse players and dropped down the Leagues what part of that cant you grasp you angry little feck.
Have you had a good look at your transfer record.

Yep like us in many ways. You are buying total dogshit players these days, proper shite.

There is an easy way for the so called legacy fans, to start to take action. Dont buy any of the Franchise League sponsers products. There is enough of us to cause impact on these multi nationals.

You don't have to own 51% to have 51% of the votes.

In theory, you could have an owner who owns 99% of the club but only has 50-1 votes. The other 50+1 votes are given to the members who own just 1%.
But wouldn't that require forcing the owners/shareholders to re-draw their Articles of Association to reflect that? Can that be done legally?

The main reason I don’t think it will happen is this is a perfect open goal for the Tories that fits their popularism and gives them the ability to deflect.

That’s the reason the breaking news on Sky is Bojo bringing government into this and making this such a big story.

It plays to their base and takes the focus away from the Tory Sleaze headlines.

The government will stop it because it will be popular for them to do so and deflect from the other big issues

The players should only consider taking a reduced wage for playing when the Glazers stop taking multi million pound dividends for doing nowt
Which isn't going to happen therefore they will plough on with a different model they think will give them greater revenues. I know I'm preaching to the converted with you but any hope of taking the game back from the money men is long past now.

i don’t condone threats on social media, but they’ve completely underestimated the response from other clubs, fans and media imo. Too late trying to make it look like they are in the right, fuck the lot of them and penalise them all as harshly as is possible

Agreed. At least the cowards have admitted it’s all about money. What they ultimately want is to compete in the ESL and make 350m+ a season whilst still keeping PL status and taking another 150m+ and the existing youth set up.

I’m sick of saying this, but if the PL dont strongly react they are fucked. The 6 clubs will prioritise the ESL and devalue our domestic product. The PL are concerned about losing the 6 teams, yet can’t see that accepting their demands will just make things worse in the long run.
