To be fair, again that's targeting the wrong person. All fans need to be standing together on this. We have no idea what this lad thought about it at the time. I get that some might be hypocritical but what matters now is that our anger is focused on the right people (the owners) and that something is done to prevent this kind of an attempt from ever being made again. Going down the route of slagging off mags, or spurs fans or whatever doesn't help anyone
There’s never a bad time to point score :)

You lot wanted to be part of it when Sir John Hall was owner, he was talking about a Euro Super League and a World Super League when you were challenging Man U for the title, but now you’re shite and have no chance you’re complaining haha
Haha, he was talking about it, but that's all it was. Pie in the sky, and since then the money has increased exponentially. Me complaining is nothing to do with being shite. We are shite, and will be again next season, and the one after. Oh and the one after.

I'm complaining because this is an attack on fans and 150 years or so of our footballing heritage regardless of who you support . If I supported one of those clubs I would be devastated, and I feel total empathy for them as they had no say in that whatsoever.

It's utterly pathetic. Leeds wanted to play in the champions league. Didn't make it and as a result ended up in league one. Who man United think they are?

Ferguson was a good guy and a real football man, but it was disappointing at the time he shunned the fc United movement and disappointment of the man u fans at the time..

They (we) could see this sort of rubbish coming back then. The writing has been on the wall for some time
Sir Alex Ferguson was an absolutely brilliant manager, one of the very best this game has ever seen. But anybody who thinks he didn't want his nose as far into the trough as he could get it is living in cloud cuckoo land. This is a bloke who tried to sue one of the clubs owners because he wanted a bigger share of the resale value of a racehorse he'd been given on a free lease.

Why wouldn't he though? Fair's fair. What's he meant to do, turn round and let them have it?

If Sir Alex Ferguson knew the value of Sir Alex Ferguson, then that's not a stick to beat him with.

Hitler invades Poland, the allies "guys can you not do that, we strongly disapprove" Hitler "oh shit, strongly OK I give up"
Bought time.
Do yourself a favour and go for a dip in the east float mate. You're ranting incoherently.
He was trying to say Everton were one of the then pig five that pushed to form the PL.....about 12yrs after they helped the late 70s pig clubs push to retain 100% of home gate money which is where all this shit started.
Though I agree with you that these current twats should remain the current targets.

I understand that but the feeling in the 90s was different to the feeling now. It was just one example oh how Newcastle got above their station in the 90s after a couple of good seasons. Will just leave that their as I’m taking it away from the subject.

What’s a pig 🐷 club ? You telling porkys

Entire country will be supporting any club these lot play now, every week. Would f***ing love it to all get cancelled and the 6 receive massive fines

That's the thing. No genuine fans win here. I wouldn't want my club left behind in a pyramid without the biggest clubs in the country. Equally I think it would be even worse being a fan of one of the clubs that leave. All the power in their hands there would be no control on ticket prices (they'd probably start reasonable to try and win people round but it wouldn't last). No control over kick off times. No control over ensuring games are actually played in England. Hell there would be nothing to stop them moving arsenal to Beijing. Some plastic fans will like it, but the genuine fans will know their club doesn't need them and doesn't want them. The clubs would die in any meaningful sense

That would explain how that lot wormed themselves into the "big club" category.

2 league titles. What a joke. Supposedly a cup team, yet the last time they won the major domestic trophy was before the formation of the Premiership.

Embarrassing.
You can chat as much shit as you want to matey but the plain simple fact is that Spurs are one of the “big six” clubs in this country, 2 titles is shit I would agree and no recent tangible success either, fact Is if Spurs had won a 90 minute football game in Madrid in 2019 you wouldn’t be spouting your shite would you.

How is it embarrassing to have won 17 trophies including 3 European ones, having the best facilities in world football, being one of the richest and most valuable clubs in the world and having a massive worldwide fan base.

You are being really nasty mate, but being a Sunderland fan I guess you are in a great position to take the piss out of a little club like Spurs aren’t you.

History matters. The fans were not complaining when the PL came into being because it benefitted them. Now that they are going to lose out its different.
I understand that the real supporters of those 6 clubs will suffer short term but i will not tolerate sanctimonious self righteousness from supporters of clubs who were quite happy to see their clubs shit on everybody else in 1992.

Because that's not the way racehorse leasing works. People lease the horse for the year or it's career, pay the training bills and get to keep all the prize money. The horse then returns to the original owner who still has the breeding rights. When he saw how much those breeding rights were worth, greed took over and he spat out his dummy for something he was never entitled to in his agreement.

 Fair enough. Up to him though if he thinks he's owed summit - why hold it against him?

No you are talking shit mate, how is the £150m fictional ffs, fact is Spurs will generate over £100m from football alone during any normal season, so were the 2 NFL games at our stadium fictional then there were Saracens rugby games an Anthony, Joshua fight at least 3 concerts plus others that I have forgotten about, they were postponed 100% down to COVID-19 restrictions so those events were not fictional at all they were simply postponed hence the loss of revenue.

£150m of lost income is not a small part of Spurs income and to say that is idiotic.

That's a one-off hit. It doesn't need Christ knows how much money over 23 years to claw that back. Blaming Covid is a classic deflection technique, and the owners know this.
