I'd love it if the PL said they were creating a new league which excludes this six.

Surely we can't have a scenario where these six clubs get a lock in on hundreds of millions of pounds more than anyone else every year, and then get compete in the PL with that advantage.

It's such a shame that money always triumphs over decency - be it this, the Mags and their takeover, rapist players being allowed to continue their careers and so on.

The FA, PL, EFL & PFA need to put out a joint statement condemning this.

If the owners of Man Utd, City, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool or whoever else think they are bigger than the history and more importantly the future of future of the game in this country they need to be told firmly to fuck right off.

Let them get on with it, expunge their results and titles, then restructure the leagues.

The game will take a financial hit but will be better off in the long run and some balance of power restored.

Thinking about the World Cup in Qatar, the big domestic leagues in Europe will have to shut down for a couple of months
If these super leagues lot are planning a mid week, and are planning to continue playing in the europe and there own domestic leagues, they'll have a very congested calendar in the 2022-23 season

As this is American financed and driven by American owners the first thing I'd like to see is the US stripped of the 2026 world cup
By the sounds of it, any players making an appearance in the Super League will not be allowed to play for their country. So the WC, Euros etc wouldn't be a problem.

Really ? I think they would have. They dont care what the "local" fans think.
Me too. I think players will be a key factor. Everyone thinks they'll just follow the money and a lot will, but they also want to win things. If you get booted out of all other competitions, including internationals, would you want to jack all that in for this one? That's why I worry about FIFA rolling over - if players are allowed in the World Cup, that could be a big draw.

It’s no coincidence that they have broke this when no fans are present at games. I would imagine there would be a massive outcry from those opposed to it at each club....a bit synical to be honest?
Of course them fookers up the road would be wetting themselves at the very fact that their name has been mentioned in a few TV interviews already.
Barcelona are struggling financially. I bet they forced the issue the most recently.

I'd watch Highland or Junior League matches (juniors are adults, before anyone starts). Standard isn't great but it's enjoyable - the ref and linesmen know exactly who has insulted them. You can get a really good steak pie at some of the grounds as well (for a couple of quid), and you don't have to sit in traffic for hours after the game.

How would you seriously react if this proposal goes through? Change teams? Protest, but go to matches?
I’m not sure myself, to be honest.
That would be me finished with "professional football".
I'm not too far away from that atm, tbh.
I know i won't be missed.
