It’s no coincidence that they have broke this when no fans are present at games. I would imagine there would be a massive outcry from those opposed to it at each club....a bit synical to be honest?
Of course them fookers up the road would be wetting themselves at the very fact that their name has been mentioned in a few TV interviews already.
I havent seen any TV on this today.....why has Newcastle been mentioned?

Thinking about the World Cup in Qatar, the big domestic leagues in Europe will have to shut down for a couple of months
If these super leagues lot are planning a mid week, and are planning to continue playing in the europe and there own domestic leagues, they'll have a very congested calendar in the 2022-23 season

As this is American financed and driven by American owners the first thing I'd like to see is the US stripped of the 2026 world cup

Spurs invited haha. That is absolutely pathetic. Arsenal also clinging on when they're no better than Everton, West Ham or Leicester these days.

I don't like the idea, but equally I find it rich that FIFA and UEFA seem to be put out by losing their iron grip on the game. Fuck FIFA the entire way.

Isn't this like the Indian Super League cricket? Which fans seem to love.

Every premier league manager "we play to many games we need rest"
6 premier league owners "we ain't playing a game on a Monday so let's arrange a new competition"

Indian cricket was on it's arse though. Grass root level aside India struggled with country cricket same as Pakistan.

Am I the only one that is quite excited that this might happen?

It will get rid of the money grabbing clubs with no interest in anything but making money for themselves at the expense of anyone else and will make our leagues more competitive.

Kick them out now, scrap relegation this season and then you can just promote the top six in each league.

This may be the best year to just not need the playoffs for a season as with little or no fans to attend then clubs who would be in the playoffs won't benefit as much financially.

It would cripple the game. Clubs would go out of business. Leagues would crumble.
