European Football Thread 2017/18

Napoli 2 up at half-time against Verona, wouldn't be at all surprised if they end up with 5 or 6. Verona have shown no attacking ambition whatsoever and look very sloppy at the back

amazed the comms team for the Madrid game didn't make more of a fuss of Andone's penalty. Possibly the worst penalty ive ever seen (well apart from Shitley's attempt back in the day). He stepped up, didn't even get into full stride and kicked down on the ball into the ground and it spun wide.

Adding to the two sitters he missed pretty early doors! Deportivo started we in the game, that penalty summed his day up though.

Burnley are currently fighting tooth and nail to sign him too. If they do sign him I think it'll be another case of a club who have survived perfectly well signing players on the cheap(ish), eventually splashing big and chucking all their eggs into the one basket and it backfiring on them.

Think that would be a good signing for them, didn't realise they were linked with him. Decent with either foot, tricky and not exactly slow. Have a look at his goal against Sevilla last season, pretty good example of it. Didn't watch tonight but sounds like an off night. He's a good player.

I always seem to call it wrong when a player comes from Spain, thought Negredo was gonna be absolutely awful at City and Soldado would score for fun so that means he'll probably be shite.

Valencia have signed Gabriel and Jeison Murillo, heavy rumours they're expecting to add Kondogbia and Goncalo Guedes to that as well!

Burnley are actually trying to sign a foreign footballer?!

Fwiw I think Andone is a canny player. He had a good season last year! He just had a bit of a stinker last night.

Kondogbia officially signs as a Valencia player.

Betis v Celta has been a great watch. Stadium's canny loud, both sides going for it and Betis just gone 2-1 up with just over ten minutes. Great cross from Football Manager legend Andres Guardado for the goal.

Both teams will be good to watch this season, Betis in particular.
