Europe Energy Prices

We haven’t got any storage mate.
We do! Only its all private, and its all already been sold to various companies across Europe.
But the point is really, all the storage facilities across Europe are pretty much full to brimming - so the demand is now lower than ever.

Denmark as always, a bacon of how to run a country for the benefit of the people and not corporations. How do I seek political asylum there?

Tidied.

On topic - I noticed the cost of diesel in France (last month) and Portugal (last September) were very high - considerably more than at home.

The energy companies are taking the p!ss though. Don't judge me on this but I have a few Centrica shares and the latest dividend was crap - the profits aren't even going back to shareholders / pension funds.

Father in law in Madrid pays not far off what I pay over here for gas and electric. Mind it’s a flat and some of the gas charge is a communal charge. His ‘own’ gas is just his hob really. Everyone has the central heating on or nobody does. Strange owa in that there Europe. Anyway long story short it’s a bit cheaper but not much. That said mind before all this ours was significantly cheaper than his so ours has gone up a lot more

Ironically the 'b' word would have allowed us to do something about it but instead we allow our oil and gas to be traded on the open market which we then buy back at an inflated rate
