Enquiries for Heneghan

team structure was wrong...defence wasnt great but the lack of a transition player in CM cost us badly..

how-we had a better defensive record that some teams that were promoted-therefore its possible to get promoted with our defensive record-so why didnt we? because other areas of the team were shite.
we had proven players at this level in CB spots..though they are too similar to each other..dunne was brought in to add height..which was needed-then discarded..
You could argue that Ross was overly pragmatic in terms of the number of defensive CMs that were in the side, but given what happened against Coventry when he opened it up a bit and the defence became exposed shows he was probably right. A couple of mobile, more capable defenders means that he can be more creative in terms of the midfield.

Surely Flannigan or Baldwin must be off?.... or we've come to an agreement with Loovens over the remainder of his contract?

DUO ENQUIRE ABOUT HENEGHAN

Sunderland and Reading have made initial enquiries about a move for Sheffield United defender Ben Heneghan, according to Sky sources.

The central defender is surplus to requirements at Bramall Lane and spent last season on loan at Blackpool, while his parent club were winning promotion to the Premier League.
