Englands problem number 3 spot?

Every fucker can see it apart from Moores and Morgan.

Bit depressing when the national coach knows less than the man in the street.

Taylor isn't an ideal number 3 for me yet, maybe in Asian conditions as he is a good player of spin but we miss Trott badly. Not sure about Taylor early on against good pace bowling personally.

Hales was on absolute fire last summer for Notts, he should of been told 18 months ago you are in the team until after the world cup, and he could of relaxed and played his game. When he came in the side, because Cook was holding up a place, he knew he had to score runs instantly or he was out.

Really poor management.

England need to do what Australia did a few years back, they were in a mess, but they decided who their best young players were and stuck with them, Warner and Smith, Maxwell etc. They weren't perfect over night.

Stokes, Hales, Taylor should of been in the side a long time ago and been stuck with, through highs and lows.

Imagine the flexibility you can have with Stokes and Ali in the side, 2 genuine quality allrounders

I accept Ballance should of been picked now as he hadn't played for months, but they caused this situation themselves by picking Bopara, who become unselectable.

Warner, Smith and Maxwell were in and out of the Australian team and had to earn their places with performances. Otherwise fair points.

Rob Key. Or any fat lad that can come in and just block consistently to let the talented playmakers get their eye in!

In all seriousness though I'd have Taylor at 4 or 5.

Good post on the whole

I disagree with telling people they are in the team for a period mind, I think you have to be fearful of failure to an extent. If not you become too comfortable.

And I'm a believer in Taylor at 3, I think the lad has it all

Has to be Taylor. Gone are the days where you have an 'anchor' at three and also gone are the days where a bloke scoring a run a ball century somewhere in your lineup wins you the game.
