England's best ever bowler

In my time watching cricket it would probably be the Archbishop of Banterbury, the right reverend Graeme Peter Swann.

If he'd played 100 tests like Jimmy he'd be on sommat like 450 wickets.

No help from sticky wickets like Underwood either.

Harmison at his peak was awesome, but too mercurial.

Simon Jones and Harmy were both better bowlers in that 2005 attack. Hoggy was more consistent for longer though.

Saj is England's greatest though.

I reckon it's a lot harder to take wickets now on the pitches, especially abroad when they are so so flat

I think Jimmy would of taken a hell of a lot more on uncovered pitches

He best bowler I've seen is swann, underrated but as an orthodox spinner I can't think of too many better

Makes you wonder how on earth they didn't pick up till late in his career

They were in that specific series, but hoggard was a better bowler really as he did it for longer consistently

Someone like simon Jones looked the part but he never had the chance to do it

Harmy was class at times but had too many wayward series

Freddie brilliant at times but he wasn't always, delivered in the big moments Though

You've got to remember they used to play on uncovered pitches, Jonathan, much easier to take wickets.
