He absolutely hated it, I think Broad actually had a go at him for it in the end.

As I say, Agnew was particularly bad for England, and you get the impression that it might be due to this attitude. All the great Cricket teams have done anything to win, it really annoys me when he picks out stuff like this. Broad there for example was trying to win, and his 40 odd proved crucial in that win, I reckon Agnew would of preferred him to walk and for England to lose

I went off Agnew the day he badgered Atherton about the dirt in the pocket. I'll bet in his playing days he put lip salve or saliva from sugary sweets on the ball - most of them were at it at county level, can't remember which bowler admitted to that in his book but he pulled no punches over it.

He is one of the reasons I no longer listen to TMS.

just came to me this. the amount of times finn knocked the bails off with his hand/ball, we could have missed a lot of run outs?

i know it was his leg mainly but what if a bowler accidently knocks the bails off, we can appeal and the umpires would be obliged to check the tv and if out, then he would have to go. wouldnt count for drs either, if we strictly apply the law

the bat would be down or not

To be fair to Agnew if he always speaks out strongly against this sort of cheating it must be a better bet that he wasn't actually doing it himself. If he had been there would be somebody who would blow the whistle.
