did we learn anything last summer about our one day ''progress'' other than that we wallop teams in the rain

Could easily turn that around and say India can only beat teams when it's 30° on a flat pitch.

It doesnt make sense that we can score more runs in difficult batting conditions, which it's swinging and seaming, than we can when the ball isn't moving off straight. If anything the bowler should be struggling (they may have done today, I only saw a few overs this morning), but 165-9 on a flat pitch is a joke.

considering Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia, WI, South Africa also play ODI on flat pitches in 30 degrees heat, its not a bad habit to have

I think the pitch has deteriorated quite a bit. There seems a lot more uneven bounce second innings. Or maybe we bowled a bit too full

its all about mindsets, in england you need to scrap,nudge etc, india you just smash it.
I know Essex Boy will love this, but what we found out is that Anderson shud only play odi's in england/new zealand and day/nighters in oz.
