6 of our last 8 victories have been by an innings, including 3 in Australia. Shows just how far we've come. Bollocks to the fact other teams are shite at the moment, we are the undisputed best team in the world! Bring on the Saffers and we'll prove it again!

Disappointingly easy

I'm not used to supporting a good team, only experience of that I have really is England rugby circa 2001-2003, so I'm not sure whether it's because India were bad or whether we made them seem bad, but I prefer a contest.

Don't get me wrong, definite elements of greatness here, but I would like to see us tested. Windies teams beat some plenty good teams as well as bad, ditto Australia, we've not really played any great teams yet, that will be the real test, along with longevity. A year or so in cricket is nothing compared to the truly great teams.

That may be true, but it's not like we've scraped past teams, we've absolutely f***ing hammered everyone.

its not the fact other sides are shit, its a fac that other sides and many leading players now do not view test cricket as the be all and end all.

thats the dissapointing thing

It is disappointing, but at the same time, it's their loss. No other cricketing event, be it domestic, T20, ODI or test attracts the crowds in the same way as an England test match with the barmy army in full swing. Other test playing nations will catch up to the fact that they should be viewing test cricket as the be all and end all when they see some of the scenes we have witnessed the last few weeks just in the stands.

I think it speaks volumes that the barmy army don't bother to attend ODIs when they're abroad, they didn't even bother with the world cup.

Hopefully it won't take long for other nations to realise why they're wrong to prioritise the pyjama game and we can see this side tested.

surely they dont attend ODI because they are spread out of 2-3 weeks and most spend a week on tour and get 5 days of cricket in one week meaning hotels are only needed for a week and not three. Its a long way to go to Australia to watch two ODI games in a week then have to come back

They do, just not in as great a number as tests. And there were plenty of them at the 2007 WC in Barbados too.

This. I have watched England abroad but couldn't justify shelling out for a couple I'd days' play.
