Bayliss will say his usual shite,
Would get a stronger minded coach in.
I couldn't care less about the world cup he is not a test coach.

Is it really without the imagination of the ECB to have a great ODI coach for the ODI side and a great test coach for the test side?

Putting all our eggs in the world cup basket is a bollocks strategy anyway. However brilliant our ODI team is, it only takes one dodgy game or a few key injuries for it to go up in smoke. The ECB must know he isn't cracked up for the job, but they're too scared of upsetting him because of the risk of derailing their precious strategy.

I hate to say I told you so, but I have been saying for a long long time Bairstow is a test number 7 and not a test 5 batsman, he plays far too many shots.

Root was never a test number 3

I have no idea why we totally disrupted 2 of our players who were in form in their proper positions.

Bairstow should be 7 with Stokes at 6.

If Buttler wants to be in the side, then he has to bat in the top 5, end of story
Absolutely.

A while ago we had a fantastic middle order Root, Stokes, Bairstow and Ali, all stroke players and very destructive, and we disassembled it, partly to try and bolster the top order.

They brought it Vince and Malan at 3 and 5. I would have had them the other way around but never mind. They've been tried and dropped. We need to pick 3 openers and ideally allow a new bloke to find his feet at 3 before moving him up.

Yeah we’ve got a lot worse, we made the odd big score

I feel sorry for Bairstow been messed around

Whoever is keeping should bat 7, the other should bat 5.
