Since the third wicket fell they've scored plenty down to third man. I'm not on about the first session.

Loads of them were before lunch (at least half, at a guess), after that the 3rd man was in an out depending on what plan England were using.

The 'naive idiot' is too attacking for you now, too defensive for you the other day and who knows what tomorrow. Mental.

Cook is nothing but a reactive captain. And even it takes him an age to react.

Pull the plug and just let him get back to doing what he does best!

Three times today some innovative changes in the field have directly to wickets.:lol::lol:

You have low expectations if pegging an inexperienced India to 250-4 is great captaincy.

Altogether now "the players at his disposal are not good enough"

Just asked an injured Stokes to bowl. FFS

What sort of f***ing pitch is that?

Give Cook a chance like, bowlers tried their best and Cook has done his best too. No way to criticise him.

There is three posters on this thread who seem to watch cricket and all they is moan, moan, moan, moan....lads you are watching the wrong game, why watch a sport that is making you that unhappy ffs.

Cooks captaincy getting a right pasting by Vaughan and co.

Well they are talking absolute shite, he did as much as he could

About 20 seconds previous I predicted they would only have 6 with the new ball.

I didn't say 'great captaincy' though. I said he'd had a very good day in the field, which he has. This Indian batting line-up is very good, the weak link would probably be the century maker funnily enough. 250/4 is India's day but given the pitch it's not a disaster.

Seamers did alright in unfavourable conditions, lack of a spinner is a problem.

Stokes isn't injured.

Morning you happy campers. Mr Cook has come up from yesterday smelling of roses. He's only had one half decent day.

i didn't see owt after midday when i left for work but hearing the score i thought 'we've done fairly well, considering what they all said about the pitch' only really dhoni who has scored at any clip.

add two on and that score loooks pretty fine, wait till both sides have batted etc etc

Cricket is supposed to be a contest between bat and ball. These shite f***ing pitches are ruining test cricket.

Aye, it's the kind of pitch that makes captains set fields like this and force bowlers to try and bore the batsmen out. No one's asking for a massive green top, but at least put some pace and bounce into the pitch ffs.

But what can you do when counties lose money hosting these matches. They need it to go to five days.

There's a difference between trying to make a Test match go 5 days and boring player, umpires, commentators and fans.

The pitch coupled with Strauss being allowed to commentate is sending me back to sleep.

Bowl at the stumps ffs. Nee bounce or pace and we're bowling outside off stump.

England have as much chance of taking 20 wickets as I have of bucking the Queen.

Thank fuck Strauss has gone. I can wake up again.

Thank god I've been at the the dentist this monring seems this has been utter shite.

And that prior chance has to be taken, I wish foster or read could have been test batsmen. Bloody gilchrist ruined the traditional keeper.
