On the plus side does anybody remember how exciting it was winning a test in the 90's and there was always a promising debut by a new player every other test. None of this same old players grinding out results.

Just a genuine question really. I'm not sticking up for Cook but ultimately if England were to get rid of him as captain (and let him concentrate on batting) someone else has to then be captain.
