Funny watching Strauss going on about how England kept making the same mistakes, of course they were aggressive when he was in the team.
btw I'm glad we missed the best form of cricket this winter to prepare for this shower

Complete and utter 'poppycock' as usual. Try and bring some sense to your posts. Or, are you simply racking up the total to move to a new position on the team sheet? Might I suggest a more common sense approach?
What's not true? Apart from predicting we would win

Hales did play as I said
And Tredwell didn't. And the press reported that they were worried about the short boundaries, I personally didn't have a view

I've had a long day at work, so I could be reading this wrong; but Strauss and Trescothick were very aggressive openers, often followed by a middle order of Flintoff and Pietersen. Geraint Jones was a decent pinch hitter also. Much more swashbuckling than the current lot

'We thought 275 was chaseable. We'll have to look at the data."

I know I shouldn't quote my own posts but I wasn't that far away:cool:

fuck the data, look at the table. knocked out with a game to play by a bangladesh side which to be fair played OK but were nothing special at all. they said themselves that their batting was a fair few runs short, their bowling was nothing to be scared of (including their crippled captain who ended up with similar figures to broad) and they look like a club side in the field.

i had low expectations of england in this world cup but we've exceeded those by some margin.

I think we would have went further with Cook in the team!

The problem with getting rid of Cook is we eventually replaced him with Ballance who was as equally out of form.

In hindsight if we'd have kept Cook, paired him with Hales, dropped Ali down the order to replace Morgan and played Taylor instead of Bell and found a spot for Stokes...

Sorry mate I was talking bout captaincy and in particular making mistakes (especially in 1 day cricket)
