Exactly,it would be a stronger tournament for potential England players to get a grounding in 50 over cricket. Current England players Jacks,Brook,Smith,Bethell fall into that category which was my original argument.I thought we were talking about top England players?
Like I said them would be playing elsewhere or rested, thus tournament would be downgraded and them top England players would not be involved and get the extra practice in 50 over domestically so would have to adapt when they play internationally like other international players do seemingly better than us at the moment.
If you talking about regular county players who have been selected to play in the hundred who not good enough to play for England or be picked up by other T20 tournaments than yeah they would play 50 over domestically.
Mind selection issues and weak management are the main reasons imo.That's a very inexperienced squad
