England V Australia ODI

Plenty county sides would beat England
It easy to say that but remember when these players return to county cricket they dominate. Taylor was outstanding for Notts in the 50 over competition last season looks out of his depth facing real quality pace bowling, but comfortable against meduim pace trundlers. You just have to look at Hastings when Durham signed him he is clearly a quality cricketer who would be good enough to play for England nowhere near the Aussie side.
Can you imagine Durham playing this Australian side at Perth, carnage. And thats with 3 or 4 players not qualified to play for England.

I'm not on about Durham playing this Australia side, but I can assure you, our lads would put up a better effort/performance than this sorry excuse of a "team". I've seen enough for England at ODI level for me to predict plenty of county sides would give these lot a game, and I'm more than confident Durham would beat this team.

Frightening to think Bopara has been in the ODI set for about 9 years now.

Of course Durham wouldn't beat them.

They aren't very good at ODIs, and some of the selections are odd. But you are blinkered as well.

Apart from Stokes, no Durham player should be in the side

We'll agree to disagree, but I believe Durham would beat that England side.

Blinkered? We're f***ing shit, Macar off the radio could tell you that.

At least the dressing room is alright now though, Bopara and Woakes are no doubt canny lads which is what you need to beat Australia

Do you think Durham would beat India twice in Australian conditions or are you taking about playing at the Riverside. I honesty don't think there are many payers in the county game who would make any difference. For me Stokes is the one glaring omission from the squad but his form for England has been patchy. There is a huge difference between the standard of county cricket and quality international cricket.

Which Durham players would play?

Irrelevant question.

Durham are a team.

England are a bunch of "nice lads" who do as they told by the ECB.

They maybe a bunch of nice lads but they would beat Durham, and Durham are without doubt one of the best all round county side in the country. The idea that they are not trying is wrong they are being beat comfortably by a better side.

I've not suggest they aren't trying. I just don't believe they are good enough and some of them are very weak minded, like little boys getting bullied who clearly are too weak to stand up and be counted for. Humiliating once again against Australia

So you appear to watch a lot of county cricket who are the players who have caught your eye who are good enough players and mentally tough enough to stand up to sides like Australia. Stokes is the only player i can think of who could make a difference.

Stokes
KP

Neither are frightened of playing in Australia. I'd like to think Trott was alright now but many would deem that a risk, but he's an outstanding cricketer. Liam Plunkett in my opinion is in very good form. Jason Roy is another up and coming player who I believe is doing well. Plenty options in the England Lions squad, but it's a question of when are the ECB clowns going to be brave and just tell some of their "yes men" to fuck off??

Lumb and Carberry have enjoyed themselves in the Big Bash also.

I'd be all for massive changes after this World Cup to be honest. England vs NZ at Durham may well be tempting should big changes happen but at present it's the same tedious shit ran by the same tedious wankers.

Not being funny but other than Roy there is nobody we have not seen before. I don't think the likes of Lumb Carberry and Punkett are any better than what are in the squad already. KP is never going to play for England again not all his own fault but he has not helped himself with his attitude. I don't know enough about mental illness but i think it would be cruel to select Trott for this tournament even if he was willing.
Any young guns for the summer revolution?

We are used to losing. Maybe its because you, like most Australian sports fans, have the emotional maturity of a twelve year old.

Class that. Looking forward to what you come up with next.
