This. Spin then pace off was the order of the day. Feel for wood and archer as they’ll get stick but wasn’t their pitch to bowl on tbh. Denly and Ali should have took us to the 17th then Curran and Jordan to finish

Where have these hits been like? Because he hasn’t in the games I’ve watched. He’s had 3 0-2s, 2 knocks of around 20 and one decent 60ish. He’s been really poor and when he doesn’t bowl he has no place in our team. Root would have offered more with both ball and bat

They aren’t that quick though. Richardson bowled about 65mph and was fantastic, hazelwood is always very tight and their spin took wickets. Starc even bowled a lot of variation and very full, whereas archer and wood bowled short and wide and full pelt.

Starc is definitely quick mind. You know what I mean anyway, Zampa and Agar went for more than all 3

Not sure we really were. We threw them at least 20-30 runs in the field, and make poor choices with archer and wood bowling too much. If you make less mistakes we could definitely have defended that total. Yea we’d have liked 10 more runs but we weren’t massively short

You must have something wrong with your head lad. Isn’t about bowling “gun” bowlers, it’s about bowling the right bowlers at the right time.

Marsh couldn’t hit the spinner, so we stopped bowling spin and bowled pace.

This pitch was slow and turning so we stopped bowling spin.

The Aussies choke against spin every time they face it so we stopped bowling spin.

Whatever angle you take the move from spin to pace was retarded at best. Mo doesn’t even trust himself to bowl in spinning conditions against a team that plays spin worse than 2000-era England, so why is he in the team?
