I was in Australia when this happened, had a tour of the MCC the day after this melt down, I couldn’t resist telling the guide that my son was doing a PHD on sandpaper.
To be fair he took it in good spirt.

Certainly was a good pitch for the two Curran’s. Will be interesting to see how Sam in particular goes on a faster pitch as he’ll have to have a lot of brains to not get carted at his pace. He’ll be interesting to see, never really had a shot at T20/ODIs before to judge
