If you’re a tragic like me you’ll like this book. Concentrates on the early days of test cricket, the amateur v professional debate is covered in detail. Well written, well researched and a recommended read. Bit pricey at £12-99 for the paperback but it is a fatty with about 600 pages.

I’m waiting for this years Wisden to drop to a £10. Will post when it hapoens

2018 Wisden is available for £9.99 at The book people site. This is usually the site for 2019 around September time
