Can’t really argue with the selections, imo, although picking 4 right backs would suggest he’ll be using Walker in a back 3 at some point.

Happy enough with the team. I think we've got a young and exciting squad (especially going forward) with players from some of the top teams across Europe. We'll need a lot of luck to win the euros of course, but I'm hopeful we can have a good tournament.

If Hendo was fit and played, we all know he's a very good player. I'm not denying that and it's no angst because he's a mackem crap, I just don't think we can justify taking a spot for a player who's not played basically all year.

Southgate talks about taking people on form, that message is kind of diluted with picks like this.

The experience could well be invaluable. An old head around a midfield of little experience and young age. Not to mention he's a very good player and when fit, which he will be, he plays.

-no it’s not mental that Lingard hasn’t been picked, he plays behind the striker and isn’t as good as Grealish, foden or Mount who will all start ahead of him

-no it’s not mental that Maguire has been picked, as none of us know how close to fitness he is, and he’s probably the best centre back option England have

-picking 4 right backs for one tournament is absolutely bonkers

We're going to end up playing 3 at the back by the looks of it. Walker/James options on the right side of the 3, Tripper/Alexander-Arnold the right-wing back options.

I don't mind the squad tbh - the likes of Ward-Prowse, Lingard and Watkins are decent players but they're not going make the difference at a tournament.

Maybe not but given that Henderson and Phillips might be carrying injuries another midfielder should have went. I’d have taken Ward-Prowse for his set pieces
