Thing of the past now these contracts.

Most earn more money by been self employed around the world in t20 comps.

Don't see the need anymore.

Counties obviously happy as it pays their players wages. Other than that no need nowadays.

I read some earn £500k - £1m for being on the contracts

Mad that the 7 2year contract have gone to only four counties, three of which are the three most Northerly playing the "summer" game and one is the newest first class county and most Northly of all, which, arguably, ought to be the weakest, but isn't.
