South Africa A out for 172. Stokes with 4-22. Reckon the England management will be thinking they have the wrong all rounder for Australia in Bopara.

Good on him. Apparently Ballance has a broken finger, so he may still be called up for the World Cup.
 
Looks like England A won another ODI in SA with roy and vince doing the damage.

It looks like Stokes did ok scoring a rapid 30 once the main damage had been done. 1 wicket for stokes and 2 for wood.

Bit like why Borthwick has batted 9/10 for us. Not as good as one day batsmen as the rest and not destructive towards the end.

Although odd he batted behind plunkett. He didn't play in the first match lyth

The 2 dots probably justifies the ECB's decision not to pick him :confused:
 
151* with a SR of 175 and 3/51 off 8 overs with the ball. 15 sixes in an innings too, have England ever managed that many in an innings?

But nah ravi bopara is a better all rounder.

Edit:england not even on the list of most sixes in a innings lowest is 13

Hopefully a convenient injury to Ravi will result in Stokes taking his place but knowing the way this England set up operates they'll probably send for Bresnan.

Bopara will never be dropped for Stokes. Everyone at the ECB thinks he is brilliant. For my part I think there are better players in the Bradford League. I reckon he must be the only one in the squad who can play the piano for those wild nights they have singing around the old joanna.

Stokes for me every time.
 
Yes but Ravi made a few runs against Australia when the game was lost and the pressure off. He keeps his place.
