England in South Africa - red ball

So, is the the case that the England team is moving out of an era when the batting division, especially the upper order, were poor but the bowling division was solid to the problems being the other way around?

We have fixed our batting issues?!

Bit harsh on the seam bowlers as well. Anderson, Broad, Archer, Wood, Woakes, Curran, Stone, Mahmood is pretty decent depth

Better than for a good while, a lot better.

As for the bowlers. Anderson (age and injuries) Broad (not what he was) Archer (some good, some not so), Wood (injuries) then the rest who are pretty much also rans imho, at least at present, maybe one of them will have a breakthough. Perhaps.

Not enjoying some of the comments from high profile media pundits, calling England big favs, setting them up to fail

inhome conditions SA clear favorites for me

should be a great series

Bairstow in contention for the first test as Pope has been struck down with the virus going through the squad.

Something which will delight all of the cricket board I assume.
