He looks good!

Would be an added bonus of being able to play a few positions aswell. He has played left back, left wing and right wing for Arsenal so far.

Aye, he's suit a wing back position very well imo. I'd take him personally, providing he keeps this good form up.

Not sure i do rate him but for left back Chilwell and Shaw and we have numerous attacking options

In a 23 man squad it's good to have options.
I wouldn't start him ahead of those but depending on how we want to go, we could pick one specialist left back and have him as a versatile squad player.

What are peoples thoughts on Saka? He's a great looking talent and is having a strong end to the season for Arsenal. Would depend on how he fares next season but he's only going to go from strength to strength.
Also his ability to cover left back and is naturally left footed all work in his favour too. Would be a better option than Shaw or rose to cover Chilwell and gives an extra attacking option at the same time

Agreed. I think he's a great talent and will be a future England star. We haven't been blessed with fantastic left footers. Let's hope he's one.

Pickford

Alexander-Arnold
Stones
Maguire
Chilwell

Henderson
Rice/Barkley
Foden

Sterling
Kane
Sancho/Rashford

My prediction for the starting XI next year. I went Stones at CB as there's no outstanding candidates and at least he has tournament experience, also depends if he moves from City to get games (I see Arsenal have been linked which may be a decent move for him). Rice will play against the better teams IMO to protect the defence and you could probably get away with someone like Barkley in there against the shit (tbf to Barkley he has been decent for England lately and Southgate seems to rate him). Got a feeling Foden is going to have a big year with City which would put him at the top of the pecking order ahead of Mount, Maddison, Grealish, Ali etc - all those are good players but Foden looks to be the most talented of them all. I also don't think Sancho is a shoo-in like some seem to think, Rashford has done well for England and Southgate likes him. Could see Sancho being used as an impact sub maybe.

If I was picking now this is who I'd pick. Obviously he won't pick Smalling but by all accounts he's had a great season.

Pickford

TAA
Gomez
Maguire
Chilwell

Henderson
Foden
Maddison

Sancho
Kane
Sterling

Pope
Dean Henderson
Wan Bissaka
Smalling
Stones
Shaw
Oxlade-Chamberlain
Grealish
Mount
Rashford
Ings
Greenwood

Could make a case for Trippier or Walker over AWB although by all accounts Walker is finished in Southgate's books. Not really convinced by the midfield - haven't gone for any defensive midfielders as I just don't see the fascination in Winks or Rice.

One bookie has Tammy Abraham odds on to make the squad while the other has him 9/4....

The value bets for me are Wan Bissakka at evens and maybe Holgate at 4/1

If I was Southgate I would not take Alli or Oxlade Chamberlain....i don't rate Rice either but we need cover for Henderson so he will go.
Stones🙈

Pickford, Henderson, Pope

AWB, TAA, Maguire, Tomori, Rice, Gomez, Chilwell, Saka, Shaw

Sterling, Sancho, Maddison, Henderson, Foden, Mount, Chamberlain, Grealish

Rashford, Kane, Greenwood

That's what i would take, but i think the usual shite like Ali, Barkley & Dier will go.

Have a really good feeling for us over the next few years. Have what seems a good bunch of lads, a manager who believes in them and they are only going to get better.

Its coming home. Euro and world Cup double.

😎😎
Lack of centre backs is a worry
Pickford, Henderson, Pope

AWB, TAA, Maguire, Tomori, Rice, Gomez, Chilwell, Saka, Shaw

Sterling, Sancho, Maddison, Henderson, Foden, Mount, Chamberlain, Grealish

Rashford, Kane, Greenwood

That's what i would take, but i think the usual shite like Ali, Barkley & Dier will go.
