Employment law

WTF, which employer is going to pay you two but only make you work one. Manager or not I’d be telling him to give his head a shake.

Leave after one and get paid for one or leave after three and get paid for three.
I can name at least two past employers where this has happened. Common in sales type roles. More often than not they've just put them on gardening leave for the three months but I've seen them negotiate early settlements. An employee with access to your IP/client lists etc who is going to a competitor is a massive risk.

Sorted, met in the middle, asked for 6 to sit on my arse for 4 & got it as well as my holidays owed.

Thanks to all the posters telling me to give my head a shake, i'm lazy, etc.

Stick in at school kids.

Because you’ve then breached your contract too?
Well yeah. It works both ways. If they decide to put you on gardening leave for it then fair enough, that’s their prerogative. The flip side, they could find you something to do every day for the entire period.
