 Some women genuinely believe that womens football is a similar level to the mens game.

It's ridiculous.

So non league managers should now apply for women Premier league positions then expect an opportunity at a premier league club if they do well.

That's literally what Hayes is suggesting so if I was someone like Kevin Phillips I'd apply for a women's Premier league job and make the same argument

I’d like to see her given a chance somewhere. It’s a guessing game what her level is at the moment, would be good for her to prove where she’s at one way or another.

Would never happen. She would be judged, sadly on being a women by some and nothing more.
There'd be intense scrutiny in the media, mostly disparaging and negative no doubt, and social media would be divided. Plenty of bickering, hate and threats. Also, being a manager in men's football means at some point there'll be hatred and even death threats, a female manager will have to deal with it. Some people are just morons, unfortunately.

It works both ways, though. If she won things, some people would say she's some sort of beacon of feminism and a champion of the cause of women in traditionally men's roles. She'll not just be a good manager, she'll be a good 'female' manager. People on both sides are inevitably going to use her gender to score points.

Well, she's basically written off any club below the Premier League. She's rather delusional, IMO.

I've always liked her and she comes across really well, has loads of experience and has taken Chelsea to face European opposition. I wonder has she applied for any jobs in the men's game? It would be interesting to see her manage a men's team, this will almost certainly have to be below the PL level as her appointment would be viewed as a huge risk and will anyone want to undertake the 'experiment'.
A woman managing a PL club (mens) will absolutely happen at some point in the future.
If it does it'll be her

Could go both ways. If she was doing badly she may stay in the job longer as the club wouldn't want to be the first to sack a female manager.

Its got to be a a level playing field across the board(pun intended)

I always look forward to her punditry on TV. Talks a whole load more sense than the group of easy money dribblers they have on at the moment, with angry Roy head banging the wall every 5 minutes, Micah Richards piecing his two words together in-between ridiculous laughter and Jamie 'try new Sketchers Arse fit' Redknapp offering his views based on never winning anything at all in the game.

She absolutely deserves a chance in men's football and I think she'd make a damn good go of it.

Players down tools when managers like Mourinho tear into them. Can you imagine what would happen if a woman manager started shouting at them? They wouldn’t respect her in the slightest.

Rightly or wrongly, that’s the truth.

I agree 100%

But its two different issues at play

does she have the knowledge and skill to be effective in the men's game and the responses from players and fans and effect that would have on her being in the men's game.

My personal view is she has the knowledge and "football" brain to be a solid manager in the men's game but due to current climate I think she would have an uphill task, due to the issues thats been talked about, its not fair or right but it is sadly where we are at.

Would she have the mental strength to take it on warts and all, I am not sure to be honest, its a shame we are so backwards at times.

These threads are at least handy for figuring out who to stick on ignore.

I don’t know if she’ll ever get a chance, or if she’d do well, but thinking a woman getting an opportunity is only down to ‘woke’ is tragic. Get a grip of yourselves.
It's not something that would ever happen.

The women's game is substandard to the men's.
The lower leagues are a lesser standard than the PL. Plenty of managers have success there and progress to the top level.
