If she's good enough then why does it matter?
If she's good enough, fine. The problem is that she may well get a job in the men's game because she's a woman, not because she's better than all the male applicants.
If it's going to happen, then it should happen naturally, not because of pressure from outside the clubs to tick boxes.
I'm not sure why some people are so intent on pushing the issue, almost like they get brownie points for advocating it. If it happens, it happens. If it doesn't, then so what?
Let it happen to piss off the arsehole brigade
^^The perfect example of tolerance right here^^
'If you don't agree with me, you're an arsehole'. Charming.

It seems the more some people claim to be tolerant, the more intolerant they actually become. The country is rapidly becoming a hate-filled, divided society because of people with the notion that only their way is the right way and anyone who has reservations or the audacity to express an alternative viewpoint is met with a barrage of ad hominem replies.

She is qualified. More qualified than Rooney before he got the Derby job

Indeed, but the men's game is an unknown challenge for a female manager. She may be very good, and I wish her all the best if she does get a job in the men's game.
I'm not against it, but it has to be on merit, that's all I'm saying. There seems to be a clamour for it to happen, which isn't a reason in itself to give her a job. If she applies for a job in men's football and doesn't get it, there's inevitably going to be intense scrutiny and accusations of sexism. It's going to be interesting to see how it all turns out.

Not sure what else she could do to display her merit to be honest

The manager of the Canada men’s team recently qualified them for their first world cup in 36 years.

His only previous managerial experience was New Zealand women for five years and Canada women for seven years.
And went into the women's game as he knew he'd have a better chance of getting a decent job and given time to work. Was a coach or on some scheme with us. Felt he and others like him got passed over for opportunities in the game for those who'd played regardless of any coaching ability.

if she has the correct badges, and experience similar to what is required, then why not?

Be good to see a new approach.

Then judge her by team performance, just like every other manager.

Some people love her on here. There must be more threads on this message-board about her than on Chelsea's.

Yes why not, but the men's game is a completely different prospect. She'd likely have to start in the lower leagues and work her way up I imagine, I can't see many top clubs giving her a chance, it's far too risky, unless they use it as an opportunity to make a statement.

It's about having more 'merit' than the other applicants, though. That, and shining in the interview, are the the only things that matter, IMO. Not, 'She's a woman, and while there was a male applicant with equal qualifications, but in the men's game, it'll make a statement to give her the job'.
No surprise to see the board’s resident numpty showing himself up again
A strange way to introduce yourself to the thread...

Well yeah. Merit should always trump

Interviewing is shite in general btw, no one understands their bias

Would never happen. She would be judged, sadly on being a women by some and nothing more.
