I shouldn't have to explain it to you.
because your talking shite mate, a good football brain is all it takes, the biggest problem is knuckle draggers not given her a chance due to what's between her legs, when what's important is what's in her head.

we have seen some really bad managers at Sunderland over the years, the sex of the person would be the least of my issues like.

remind me at what level Arsène Wenger played at, seem to remember it being only a handful of games and he turned out all right as a manager.

It wouldn't be easy for her and would have a learning curve, like all new managers, but I would have her over a host of the "jobs for the boys" crowd we have seen at Sunderland last few years.

You could argue she's better qualified for any job in football management than Rooney, Lampard, Gerrard were when they got their first jobs.

How did we know if they were good enough?

Indeed. Great players don't always make great managers.

*waves at Wankers Hat*

I'd respect your opinion if you could actually back it up.

Why is it then that men can manage women's teams, but not vice versa?

And more to the point, why shouldn't they?
My opinion is my opinion. I don't have to justify it to anyone.

He's thick as pig shit. I cringe everytime he opens his gob on here. He's like one of the thick lads in the bottom sets at school who went on to do absolutely nothing with his life.
Yep that's about right, you've got me. Good to see you follow me so much on here.

It's a tricky one.

Do I think all the blokes on a team she manages would respect her? Honestly no. Is the women's game comparible to the men's game. No.

There's far more pressure on men's football. It's far more competitive too. The woman's game is very narrow. All the best players play for less than half a dozen teams in a dozen team league. There are 6-0 drubbings every other week.

She could do well but I think many things are against her.

She was never offered Crawley or Wimbledon managers jobs.

Do find it a bit strange people saying she has no qualifications to manage or coach men. She's one of less than a thousand coaches to have completed FA Level 5 coaching certification, the highest on offer, along with the likes of Southgate and Rodgers.

I don't buy into this, "she has no experience of men's football or playing it" thing either. There's loads of exceptional footballers who have been terrible club managers, Barnes, Henry, G Neville, B Charlton, Maradona, Shearer et al.

She's clearly a better analyst of the game than most of the current men's bunch, as evidenced by her TV appearances on male and female games. It's a bit like watching Tony Romo call plays before they happen in the NFL. She's got a great eye for spotting talent too, having given up the likes of Rapinoe her first pro contract and signing young Millie Bright for Chelsea.

Having said all that, I don't think she'd leave Chelsea to manage a lower EFL club and I highly doubt a bigger club would take the risk, despite her many credentials. They'd be much more likely to take a risk on a unexperienced former player than a woman imo.

My concern wouldn't be about her gender, it's that she has won lots of trophies at the club with all the money and best players (and helped by scandalous FA policies of relegating/promoting clubs based on finances).

Her previous job at a not so rich club she was sacked with a less than 30% win ratio. Big gamble to then appoint her at a club that can't buy/pay all the best players

I don't think a manageress would command the respect from blokes to be honest in the sometimes volatile changing rooms. I just don't see it. Does this mean I'm not woke

She'll not take it. Seems to expect to be offered jobs like Pep would bizarrely.
I don't think she does to be fair. It seems to stem from when she was linked with Wimbledon and said 'why is Wimbledon seen as a step up from Chelsea women?' She seems very happy in the job she has rather than take over a struggling League One / Two side and get a load of abuse from misogynists

Don’t see why she deserves a shot less than the next similarly qualified bloke tbf.

Women are running FTSE 100 companies but heaven forbid they find the process of encouraging 11 spoilt princesses to belt a ball around for 90 mins too mentally taxing for them.
