What experience does Rooney have of sports management or project management? Zero

Nice attempt at moving the goalposts

As mentioned earlier players will want to play for Wayne Rooney they won't want to play for Emma Hayes.

So there clearly is an advantage of employing Rooney. You are trying to adopt management principles to sport. Doesn't work

Not at all. I addressed a direct point you made

No chance and hopefully clubs don't give in to the woke brigade.
What would be woke about a manager being appointed if they were best candidate - you are saying gender means incapable of managing a men's team. Give your head a shake man. Ema Hayes has achieved more in footy than than the vast majority of men in this country and knows better than you or I how to coach a winning team.

Well yes, my reasoning is she hasn't been in an environment where criticism is rife.. Pundits, media, fans etc. Its an extra stress she hasn't had from even ex pros that went into management. But like I said if she wants to have a go then it would be interesting to see how it panned out.
But surely how she/anyone copes with that is down to the personality of the individual, and not their gender.
Does anyone have a female boss?

I do. I respect her. Because she’s smart. I couldn’t give a fuck about her gender
Exactly.
I work in a Cemetery and my manager is male.
My (female) partner has a similar job (manager) but with a different council and she does fine and is well respected by all her (male) staff.

I'm saying it would bring internal issues and very very likely be viewed as tokenism.

For instance... after a game, a manager would usually go into the dressing room to talk (or blast) his squad, so what happens in the dressing room when EH wants to walk in and do the same?? all the blokes are getting changed/bollocked naked (in the showers) etc etc. BUT "Sorry Ms Hayes, you must wait outside in the corridor until the players are ready", or "Nobody get's undressed until Ms Hayes has been into changing room and spoken to you all", while the players are dripping wet/freezing.

Managers usually have their own space/offices which players respect, but they also integrate closely with with the squad, getting changed themselves with the squad (in the same dressing room). A female manager would be totally cut adrift. This is just one small example.

Also, if she does a shit job and is ultimately sacked. News headlines... "They sacked me because I'm a woman" "Misogamy is rife is the mans game" yada yada yada

It can only be tokenism if badged that way and someone has to be first. Glass ceiling in Business still exists due to misogyny and clearly in sport. Your last comment is unfortunately typical of the issues that continue to enable inequality - you have decided an excuse for a future sacking based on gender. I think someone has to be the first female manager so why not someone as qualified as her and see what happens rather than prejudgment on the outcome?

Course it does. It’s just sad that footballers wouldn’t respect a female.

But females can't perform at the same level so how can they tell people to act a certain way?

The standard of the women's game is extremely poor. When a women's team can compete with a man's team I fully agree Hayes deserves a chance.

She should work her way up like any other manager in the pyramid. She hasn't got the CV to manage in the football league

Because many male managers can’t play at the same level either

How does that work with male managers in the women's game?

Define a top job?

Any job in the football league is a top job to me.

Nobody had ever got a job like that without having some experience or achievement in the mens game.

Hayes has literally managed a side Southwick could beat but thinks she's better than the Wimbledon job 🤣

Not buying this professional footballers won't respect her nonsense. They're professionals ffs. The one former pro player who's still actively involved in pro game I've spoken to about it didn't think it would be either.

Absolutely no issue with the female coaches being respected and successful in the NFL, which I'd suggest is more macho with bigger egos than football.

Nfl where a lot of players are college educated?

Footballers are thick usually. Players get managers sacked a lot more in football than the NFL
