Email about refund on international streaming pass

They need to make an announcement when it’s fixed like. I’ve bought 2 now and had them both refunded. I haven’t got time to piss about forcing them to take my money.

As someone else said, I suspect this has nothing to do with the club but rather the company they use to stream the matches.

Even Jim Rodwell would have have been embarrassed by this one

“Lucky1985, as you requested, your SAFC LIVE: 2022-23 International Streaming Pass (CANCELLED AND REFUNDED) has been terminated with immediate effect because Pass setup incorrectly.

If you have need any further assistance or support, please get in touch with us at [email protected].

Kind regards the Sunderland AFC Team”

Big red flag for me this mind.

It’s a third party accepting / running the streaming operation and payments.
An out of the blue email stating your account has been incorrectly setup (with ropey spelling and grammar)- making people run to pay again.

If hackers had control of streamamg servers (but no copy of Cc numbers) it’s exactly how I’d expect them to monetise the attack.

The club need to comment and reassure people as a matter of urgency

Agree with this 100%.

Exactly right! The emails look extremely dodgy.

That is very worrying for those impacted, good to see the club reacting quickly to the issue with clear communication to all those affected

So much for the KLD cleansing revolution. In the light of this and other hodgepodges it really puts into perspective the amazing job AN is doing.

Nor does it state anywhere that the issue has been corrected. Another SAFC example of how loyalty does not pay.

Shit I've paid twice as well. Saw the email last night so did the payment again. That's almost AU$500. Hope to fuck it's not hackers. FFS

Wish I'd checked on here first

Good point but there have been two emails. One from an SAFC.com address and another from streamamg.com address. Clicking on Buy Now takes you to SAFC.com also. So, doesn't look suspicious security-wise but it's shit there has been no official announcement on it.

Got a second email from the club.

Dear Toddius,

Thank you for purchasing the 2022-23 International Streaming Pass at the early-bird price of £140.

Unfortunately, we are getting in touch to let you know that the streaming pass you purchased was set up incorrectly and because of this we need to take action to cancel and refund the streaming pass.

You will receive an automated system email to confirm cancellation of this pass in the next couple of days. The refund will be processed but please note this can take 3-5 working days to clear and appear back into your bank account.

It is possible for you to purchase the streaming pass again if you live outside of the UK via the link below at the early-bird price of £140 before 1 September 2022.

Please note that any Sunderland AFC fixtures selected for television broadcast will not be available on the SAFC Live streaming service. The fixtures currently affected by this EFL rule are:

Coventry City on Sunday 31 August (KO 12:00)
Sheffield United on Wednesday 17 August (KO 20:00)
Norwich City on Saturday 27 August (KO 12:30)

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this issue.

Kind regards,
Sunderland AFC

Just noticed when I go onto my current passes (safsee), my 2 transactions are no longer showing as cancelled/returned and I have a current subscription for the upcoming season.

Great...except I paid twice and still no response from club

So no midweek red button games on SAFSee then?

That greatly reduces the amount of games shown and the value.

Same here. The lack of communication from the clubs pretty poor here tbh.

Mine still not showing active for 22-23 and no refund. I wonder if the fix is applied manually?
