Email about refund on international streaming pass

This for the season pass or game by game?

If it's for the season pass and they're refunding, I wonder if they cocked up on the price and now want to charge more.
It's for the season, but the early bird price is the same until the end of August.
Maybe an IT problem?
 
Is it something to do with accessing it from uk? If u r shown as paying via a card registered in uk, as this pass is for overseas viewers only.
I don't think it's because the card is registered in the UK - it wasn't a problem last season, but thought maybe it's because I used my UK address to buy it. So I bought another pass using my 'USA' address :)
 
My card is from a Swedish bank.
Have you ever watched a match stream from a UK-based IP address? So many expats on here, probably still with a UK bank account somewhere, I am doubtful screening where the payment comes from is going to be a good way of filtering. If they are trying to catch UK residents, looking at past IP address location might be the way they do it, but even that will eliminate some unfairly if they've come back for hols/visiting family and legitimately watched (and paid UK price for) a stream in the UK.
 
I got the two emails before reading this thread and they left me worried about the status of my credit card. No where did it say "sorry, it is not your fault, don't be alarmed, we screwed up". I feel there should be a third email with words to that effect. Have to assume no one who purchased the international pass recently escaped this almighty cock up. This leaves a sour taste. They owe me a sweety.
 
Some have signed up today with the email link and got cancelled again and refunded
I'll wait and see until we get an idea what has gone on.

Me too and whoever composed that email or worse still checked that it read OK should up their game!

It’s not a very well worded email. “Set up incorrectly” is pretty vague. By me or by the club? What is it about the set up that is incorrect? If I repurchase in exactly the same manner will same thing happen again?
The wording is terrible. Is it legit?
 
Just tried to make the payment again.

I submitted the payment details (same as last season). Then got no message on the website, hardly reassuring.

Then got the following mail:



Ted, as you requested, your SAFC LIVE: 2022-23 International Streaming Pass (CANCELLED AND REFUNDED) has been terminated with immediate effect because Pass setup incorrectly.

Starting to think that we need to club to come out and let everyone know when their issue is resolved before we attempt to re-purchase the international passes for the season.

No need for 'as you requested' to be included in the sentence.

Except it does make it sound like it was my decision and that they have had nothing to do with it.
